We're on the eve of the 25th 9-11 anniversary.
I recall it pretty well. On that day, I was working at my job, which was delivery. My first delivery was actually at a Wal-Mart an hour outside of Houston. When I left Houston, all was well. When I got to the Wal-Mart, I noticed a lot of people watching the TeeVee sets, and thought that it was strange. So when I get to the pharmacy section, which is where my delivery was, the lady there told me that a plane had slammed into the World Trade Center, and that people were jumping out of the windows.
So I make my delivery, and switch on the radio, and it is all over the radio. As I was driving back into Houston, the say the World Trade Center building collapsed! That's weird sh*t there.
Now this was really weird. My day continued, as my job didn't mean I could go and watch a tee vee set all day. Everywhere I go that day, the tee vee set is on, and people are watching the news about this calamity.
That was some real weird stuff that day. As the day ended, I drive through downtown Houston during rush hour, and the streets are deserted. It was the damndest thing.
People were paranoid as hell in all the downtown office buildings before things calmed down a bit.
I drove by the big airport (Bush) during the late afternoon hours, and there's no planes landing. That went on for several days. That was weird as hell. Usually there are planes flying over the freeway as you make your way north towards the burbs. ( I had a few things to do up in the North side before coming back into downtown.).
Now look at things today, where so many youngsters weren't even born in 2001, so this doesn't mean anything to them. But to me, since I remember it all, it was some really weird sh*t.
The lefties talked up some real sh*t when it first happened, but they got awfully quiet when Bush's approval numbers went to 90%.
Now they're talking their sh*t again, and they're counting on the youngsters not to know anything about something that happened before they were born.
The young don't know any better. That's the kind of thing that the left counts on.
