An 18 meter wide Super-Duper Starship? Maybe so.

Objectivity and Rationalism is now deemed "racist"

Activists want to dismantle what they call racist --- but what are they REALLY doing?

The link that brought me to this substack essay was from Instapundit.

Comment: We have come full circle now. The REAL objective is coming into focus. As opposed to equal rights, it appears that these people want to dismantle a way of life. It isn't "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion". It is a WAR of one tribe against another. It is based upon race and creed. Just the exact opposite of what they claim to be for. To notice all this is of course, "racist", I'm sure.

Quick update: Perhaps the way you could think about this, these activists mentioned in the essay, would want to teach this.

Bongino Show, 1/31/25

Jipped at about 38 minute mark. Discussion is about J6th story told from MAGA POV

We've gotten a really one-sided story about January 6th, 2021. The Democrats ran a Star Chamber with their so-called Select Committee, and their accomplices in the media ran the "insurrection" narrative for all it was worth. The recent campaign featured some of this as well, as the Democrats continue with this narrative.

Now the battle will be joined in full, and maybe we will finally get the full truth of what happened. Dan Bongino covers the story here, and I thought I would join it in progress. It will start with Senator Ted Cruz's questioning of Kash Patel.

Whether or not the truth matters anymore will say a lot about how all of this is received.

Video about the crash

This is what I was looking at earlier ( probably yesterday evening ). Then I forgot about where I saw this and got discombobulated. Call it old man -itis. Whatever you call it, this is probably the best info I've seen yet.

Watts up with that is off my reading list

With regret, I'm going to have to take that website off my list. I don't read these as often as it appears on this list because I don't do as much housekeeping as I should. There was an article that seems to over-play AI, and I don't believe in it AI at this time. Especially not in the sense that this country should devote so many resources to it. So off it goes. Maybe I'll see ya later, alligator.

Lindsey Graham questions FBI director hopeful Kash Patel at Senate Judiciary Confirmation Hearing

Forbes Breaking News on YouTube

Because of Senator (?) Schiff's theatrics, it may be necessary to balance that off with something real and substantial. I won't be embedding the alleged Senator Schiff's theatrics here. Lindsey Graham did his duty this time. Good on him.

New term I hadn't seen before

"Enshittification"

The defintion? You have to go on websites that have enshittified, which means there's a problem there. If you've guessed at the meaning of the term, then no explanation is necessary. Indeed, I think our country is being enshittified. I hope Trump is deshitifying it, but you never know. The capacity for enshittification seems limitless.

I'm serious here. I never heard of the word before. For those who haven't, this is a serious post. No joke. Not really, anyway.

Watch that sped up video of bridge collision--what's the odds of an innocent explanation?

1/30/25:

Aircraft disaster in D.C.

I'm going to include these separate disasters in the same post. Why? Isn't it a bit strange that something so anomalous happens on an all-to-often basis in this country? Really, why would a fricking military chopper be in that area anyway?

Every damn thing in this country is suspicious to me right now. Until there is an adequate explanation for things, I'm going to assume the worst. Seems to me to be the thing to do.

4/16/24:

FIB will launch an investigation

The ship struck the bridge in a manner in which the force would do the most damage, in my opinion. This is why I am suspicious. It couldn't have been random. The odds are against that happening.

The FIB has not distinguished itself in recent years. This may be considered snark, but it is a reasonable suspicion given their track record. No investigation will be allowed that will show the government in a bad light. It will be politically motivated. Consequently, it cannot be trusted to be accurate nor complete. It will be a white wash.

end update of the post of 3/27/24:

This reminds me of 2001, prior to the 9-11 attack. Two separate occasions when the 610 bridge over Houston Ship Channel was hit. Didn't happen before, and hasn't happened since ( to my knowledge).

I'd say definitely lower than 50-50 probably of an innocent explanation for this. The odds of it randomly turning that way right into the path of a collision? Nah!

Astroforge names the target asteroid for its first commercial interplanetary mission

Behind the Black Blog

Mission set to launch in less than a month.  By the way, SpaceX should mine the asteroids like Bennu for its carbon, water, and anything else that might be worthwhile.   One refueled Starship while in LEO is worth ten launches.  Even at reduced launch costs of the fully reusable Starship system, this would still make sense.

My reaction to somebody's else reaction

To the confirmation hearing of RFK Jr. on the issue of "vaccinations".

I saw this video from a link from Conservative Treehouse (CTH). So, the reaction is embedded from X directly below:

Comment:

Amen, bro.  That's my reaction to the dude above.

As for Sheldon Whorehouse, he can FOAD.

I can give a more reasoned response, but screw it.  The bastard went totally commie bezerko and that may require a beserko response.

By the way, this is why the commie bastards want your guns.

CalExit May Be on the Ballot in 2028

Legal Insurrection Blog

According to the text of the measure, the state would be required to create a 20-member state commission to study California’s viability as an independent country in 2027 and to publish a report the following year.

It seems innocent enough for now. Of course you can study it. You might want to study a little history while you're at it.

Let's be frank. Democrats want to run things as communists. Republicans aren't too sure that they want to oppose this. A bunch of them ( aka RINOS ) want to join the commies, and impose a "dictatorship of the proletariat" upon us all.

The trouble with Marxism is that the state doesn't wither away in commie-lands. That's what Marxism claims to do when they achieve their uptopan dreams, but the dreams become a nightmare. And the nightmare doesn't ever seem to end without bloodshed.

The problem with secession is where do you draw the lines? If everybody secedes from each other, you won't have anything left. Texans were thinking about this, and some Republicans seem enamored of the idea, but I'm not. I did not support it then, nor now.

Reaction video to a Toto song

Weird Al impersonating Weezer front man while doing a cover of Africa

And here's someone's reaction to it. First of all, I never heard of "Weezer". Seriously, I never heard of them. I saw Weird Al doing it on this video she is reacting to, but not with her in it. So I wonder, this is really something different here.

I wanted to do a post on it, but how? So I looked and looked. I got some background on Weezer, so I could know something about who they are, and so forth. I was familiar with Weird Al, of course. But I never saw anything quite like this. Weird Al was doing it straight for quite a bit of the time, then he goes crazy with his accordion.

I was expecting a parody song of Africa, which is a Toto song. I had never heard of Weezer, mind you. So, the story is that Weezer did Africa, and then Weird Al does Weezer doing Africa straight for the most part.

Quite interesting. Always a surprise with Weird Al.

Desperately seeking Deep and the Chicoms

What I think about Deep Seek ( Chicom AI )--- reaction to Bongino's reaction jipped below

As for me, I could care less. But Bongino takes on the aspect of the reaction in the markets, which also does not concern me. What could be concerning is the reaction to it politically.

Even there, I don't really give that much of a flip. Trump should not get involved in AI because it is a bad thing. However, this is the real world we live in, and somebody in the world is going to do AI. Instead of worrying about investors, we should focus our attention on safeguards for the public in the advance of these things coming on line. The investors can take care of themselves, the safeguards are for the public.

But the worry is about the money. That is why you can't stop AI. However, the best hope is to control it ( if that is even possible, that's why it's bad ). It's better to do that than to do nothing to control AI, at least.

Cultural Power is fading, fading

1/28/25:

Not all Buccees are frickin' huge. There's one mid way between Austin and Houston that is fairly small by their standards.

11/30/24:

They got a Buccee near Houston that's so big it needs its own zip code. Nope. Can't back that up. But it IS big. It's fine with me. Everything's big in Texas. So it fits right in.

Interesting thesis, but lacks evidence to support it

Does the Federal Reserve control the world through debt?

A short essay like this cannot answer such a question. A thorough audit of the Federal Reserve MIGHT, provided that it was an honest one. In my opinion, our government has become so corrupt that an honest investigation into anything or everything, is all but impossible. But an attempt should be made anyway.

Mark Levin (video)

Why Trump is right about birthright citizenship

Checking in or whatever, 1-27-25

--- There's lots of unrelated thoughts popping into and out of my consciousness.

--- One of those thoughts is how these thoughts disappear into the ether before I post them.

--- I have written about this phenomenon before, obviously I have done nothing about it.

--- This post will be an attempt to do something, I will use it for a post!

--- I have noticed that people don't seem to read much. That is, it is easier to speak and talk than the write and read. The natural thing is to speak. Writing takes more effort, come to think of it, reading takes more effort than listening. People can "listen" without listening. But you can read without understanding too.

--- Lately, I've been writing a bit about the AI phenomenon, and the dark side of it. The dark side of it is going to become more obvious over time. Unfortunately, by the time people start to notice it enough to want to do something about it, it will be too late.

--- That fits into what I just wrote. There are readers and talkers. There are listeners and thinkers. You can guess where this might be going. But I'll make it easier for you. That's because people are always looking for convenience. They'll take the easy way out. The easy way is to have someone explain everything for you. That hard way is to have to figure things out for yourself. Most people fall into the former category rather than the latter category.

--- People have made a good living out of doing things for other people and getting paid for it. Funny that I haven't figured that out with this blog. So I don't get paid anything. Indeed, I stopped trying to make any money off of it for a long time now.

--- The thing that I'm doing is more like what a parent does for a child. But it is thankless task for the most part. Children aren't grateful unless they are taught to be grateful.

--- Lest someone think I'm virtue signalling, I assure you that I'm not. I'm pretty bad about showing gratitude.

--- I suppose my attitude is that I give and you take. Why should I thank you for coming when I give you something of value? What are you giving back? You grace me with your presence. Well, thank you for that much. But I want more. That doesn't make any different than anybody else. So it isn't virtue signalling.

--- If you find no value here, then I'm not forcing you to come. Come as you are, as the song says. Here's the song...

--- Anyway, the whole idea here is that AI is taking over the world. That is because people are tending to fall for the convenience of having someone or something do something for them. If the machines start thinking for us, and speaking for us, then what use do we have for each other any more? The machines may get smart enough to figure that out for themselves, and then we will be history.

--- The point is that this all proceeds from laziness. The point being you better start doing more stuff for yourselves, and stop being so lazy. That goes for me too.

--- Be good out there. That's all for now.

About those psyops you keep hearing about

10:38 AM:

Chase Hughes on YouTube.

This looks like a good find. I'm not familiar with the guy, but he seems to know his stuff. So, I will post it here for your information, if you're interested. Frankly to me, it seems that we are going to need a strong preparation for what's coming. If you're not prepared, you are going to be manipulated without limits. ( just my opinion, ya'll )

I watched the video. I read the comments on Free Republic, which is linked above. I evaluated it based upon my own skill level. (Whatever that is, I'm not claiming expert status. I'm only pushing this video as a way to improve your own, if you wish to do so.) So is Chase Hughes. This leads to something of an embarrassing question, which would be "aren't you trying to psyop me too?" . Well, yes. To a certain extent, you have to try to persuade people to do things. If you caught this, then you are pretty tuned in, I'd say. Congratulations. Now go check this out anyway. If not, then I will. The more people who do this, the better prepared everyone will be.

2:00 PM:

As the author of the video embedded above says early in the video, he does give a link to his tool, but I'll pass. The reason is that it asks for personal information, which I will not provide. Not much else for me to say on this one.

What will be the reaction to this?

Another "Bombshell"

Comment:

Perhaps it would be better if the overused word "bombshell" was not being so overused now.

It's unusual act for the President, and it may not hold up to scrutiny. Too bad, because a whole lot of things won't hold up to scrutiny if those things were actually scrutinized. There are a lot of things on the President's plate. He's sure not messing around now, is he?
