Mission to study asteroid 2022 OB5

It's freaking TINY. It's the mini-me of asteroids. But if it is metallic, it would have a lot of mass.

Now this is a bad day.

But for whom?

For Zelensky!

Think of this like the first scene in Godfather (1972 film). The undertaker wants the Don to punish the boys who ruined his daughter. But he goes about it the wrong way, and does not show proper respect. He could've walked away empty handed. Bonasera finally got it, and changed his approach in time to save his mission to get the Godfather's help. Zelensky failed badly here. Ukraine needed somebody to do a man's job, and they got nothing.

Was this a bad day?

The Epstein Thing

For me, it is all in what you expected from it. If you expected a lot more, and got a big goose egg, then it was a bad day. So whatcha think? A bad day? For me, I don't know what people were truly expecting. If you were expecting a lot, chances are that it was a bad day. To me, I was not expecting much, and it appears nothing much happened. No big surprise. They've had a LONG time to cover their tracks

Gene Hackman, RIP

Remembering Gene Hackman

How does a blind man manipulate fire? I suppose it isn't necessarily good to ask questions sometimes. Enjoy the movie.

Nothing has changed

The same people who told you that Biden was sharp as a tack, and now saying that the walls are closing in on Trump. You can be safe in your conclusions that they are full of it. Nothing has changed. If Trump fails, it won't be because of what they say. By the way, I am reacting to something I saw on the YouTube, but it isn't worth responding to. Or I'm lazy as hell.

Looks like test flight 8 is around the corner

2/27/25:

Looks like some schedule slippage. Now the launch will be on Monday, or so I've seen on YouTube.

2/25/25:

A final report appears to have been made. Tests have been nearly completed, and a date has been set.

An interesting video

It seems to fit in with the events of the day. That is, should she remain silent in the face of fake research, or should she say something? If she says something, people might get damaged. At least, this is why she was asked to keep quiet, even though what she was saying against fake research was valid, and was admitted as such.

There is a bigger story in this story, and that is why DOGE should exist. But there's a push back against DOGE because people might suffer, or so we are told. Is there something bigger and more important that is being harmed in keeping it all quiet? Now is the time to fix this problem. If it isn't, others will solve it for us.

Trump and the Art of Political Warfare

Steve McCann, American Thinker:: Over the past thirty-five years the conventional wisdom has been that the Marxist-inspired American Left are superior tacticians in the arena of political warfare and were thereby the entrenched power-brokers in Washington D.C. This hypothesis took h...

This post goes nicely with another post I made recently.  Bongino called it an "extinction event".  It's like putting coins in a machine, but the machine doesn't give you what it is supposed to.  So you kick the machine.  Democrats acting like dopes are going extinct!

Note this: there's cheering after this completely inane performance. Dopes.

Evidence of the political nature of the J6th prosecutions

2/26/25:

Jeremy Brown has been released.

3:45 PM:

Lots of detail here.

The area that was restricted, and which gave an excuse to arrest many J6'ers; was so large that it could be considered a "booby trap" for unsuspecting protesters. Not to mention that the fencing was taken down, and those who took down the fencing weren't prosecuted. There's more...

...this was used as a pretext for a search of a man's out of DC home, so that they could prosecute this J6th whistleblower for crimes having nothing to do with J6th. ...there's even more... read it all..

4:07 PM

The man mentioned above has gone missing. There is a fear for his life. Is it possible that the government intends to kill him in order to silence him?

Asking Grok about the Starship

First question, it's dry mass.

I've made a lot of spreadsheets with numbers that I was guessing at. It turns out that the guesses were off, but not by that much.

The guesses may not have been guesses, but faulty memory from having read them somewhere, and not remembering where.

This is a heavy beast.

Asking Grok further questions does not satisfy me. Their numbers don't add up. A final question about increasing payload fractions seems a bit disappointing. Their main goal is reusability. A big penalty is being paid for that.

However, the rapid reusability of the system will lower the cost of each payload to orbit. Then you need something to launch. These kind of numbers require a lot of launches. That's something that is a given because of the need to refuel the Starship once it gets to orbit. Until it is refueled, it cannot go anywhere but back home.

Big brother is watching you

Too slow

Liberals don't like their Teslas anymore

2/25/25:

Was it ever about environmentalism? The insincerity is all too obvious.

2/15/25:

It's irrational of them. If they believed in Tesla in the first place, how does his support of Trump change that? If they believed they were "saving the Earth" with a Tesla car, why would buying Twitter change that? Why would backing Trump change that? Are they now against the environment because they are against Musk and his Tesla cars?

If liberals made sense, they'd stop being liberals. I don't own a Tesla now, and his politics doesn't have a damned thing to do with it.

Professional rivals

Politics and violence

Tim Pool

It has always seemed doubtful to me. Political strife, yes. War, no. Wars need a whole lot of organization and money. Such was possible in the nineteenth century, but today? Where's a guerrilla force going to hide? Where are they going to form up? How? As Tim Pool says here, amongst other things, it is mostly rhetoric. However, Pool does think we're heading in the direction of war. But what kind of war?

Dan Bongino gets an appointment to the FBI

2/24/25, 8:00 AM:

This comes as a shock. Obviously, that would mean a big change in his show. He can't do the show and this job. I'm gobsmacked.

10:00 AM:

So, what are the loyal viewers of his show going to do now? Couldn't he have taken an unpaid advisory role? He can't do his show and this too.

Idiocracy again

I'm gobsmacked by the Bongino announcement, but after watching this, it's probably not that big of a surprise

Watch this. We're in a lot of trouble.

Vociferous

2/23/25:

Maybe a strenuous disagreement overrule the vociferous one. Inquiring minds want to know.

10/2/23:

I vociferously disagree with her vociferousness.

Sharpen up that stake

Free Republic:       I agree.
