How do you motivate people? Those on the so-called conservative side will present the facts on the presumption that people want the facts, and will respond to the facts.

What's the problem with that? Obviously, the "conservative" side has been doing that forever, but it doesn't seem to work. People just don't respond to the facts.

Or they don't believe you have the facts, and would rather believe something else.

In that case, then show them some facts which they cannot deny.

So try this: Commies want to take your property. If you have any property, it will be subject to confiscation. But the constitution! Oh? Aren't the lefties talking about flooding the judiciary with their own? The constitution will be whatever the commies say it is. Never mind what is actually written. They'll do what they please. But Carville and a lot of other Democrats are RICH. Or is Carville RICH? If Carville isn't rich, there's plenty of them on the left who ARE. But they won't lose their property, because they're juiced in. That's right. Communism is about who has the favor of the government. If you fall out of favor, you will be shit out of luck.

You will have to slavishly follow everything they say, or you will be subject to having everything taken away from you. That's communism. It's not about merit. It's about being in good graces with those at the top of the hierarchy.

But they are about equality. Bullshit. They're about equality for YOU, but not for themselves. If you can just grasp that, then you MIGHT finally be on the right track. Then, perhaps, you will get your asses motivated.

I don't know how many more things can be said. Time is running short, but people act as if they have all the time in the world. The left is playing for all the marbles, but what is the GOP doing?

They do what they usually do, which is nothing. Elections solve nothing then. Well, even nothing from the GOP is better than the something that you will get from the commies.

Considering what Barnhardt said about politicians generally being unworthy characters, is it possible then, for people to be self-governing?  That is to say, are humans so depraved that they cannot be trusted to govern themselves?

The United States was something new at the time of its creation.  Most of the world was ruled by Kings and despots of one kind or another.  A government like the one that was created in 1776, was an unusual thing in the world.  Maybe the Swiss had a democracy, but not many others were around at that time.

The Constitution was written in order to restrain governments and politicians.  If this weren't so, then why the checks and balances?  If the Constitution is inadequate to deal with the natural tendencies of humans to self-destruct, then what can replace it?  Anything?

With respect to the nature of Man, my take is that we are obliged to make it work, and if it doesn't, then we go extinct ( for you atheists), or there will be a Second Coming ( for you apocalyptic types ).

If there is to be a Second Coming, you won't know when that will be.  Then you default to the former ( for all practical purposes) as opposed to the latter.

  So, by showing this to an audience here, am I making a mistake of trying to be understood?

  I say NO. The real lesson here is that everyone shares this fault, as the video says. However, knowledge of it does not mean that the effort is futile. If it was universally understood, then perhaps a check can be placed upon the universal tendency toward hypocrisy, and a chance at better outcomes.

  And if it doesn't work? Likely still, it probably WON'T work. Too many people will reject this because the EASIER way is to be the hypocrite. The harder way is the better way.

  That harder way would be to follow what Jesus said. The road to hell is paved with those would always seek the easy way.

  The response from the hypocrites would be that they are doing this "harder way" already.

  But are they really? That is the message of the video. It says something like all folks won't, and even if you DO, you will still fall short. That's true because of the human condition to be imperfect. Actually, the video DIDN'T say that exactly, I added a bit of comment upon it.

  I'll endeavor to not fall into the trap of despair. That would be even worse. So, I will continue.

  Then I'm probably "wrong" about saying that I'm not trying to explain myself.

The USA was to be treated the way Germany was to be treated after WWII. There were those who wanted to de-industrialize Germany after WWII. The USA was opposed to that, the Soviet Union favored that. Anybody remember how the Governator was going to kick butts and get these people in line? Ever since the tinsel town "hero" has left, matters have gotten far worse.

"Collyfornia" wants to do a "wealth" tax on wealth that does not exist. It's paper wealth. Just because some dumbasses keep saying that the "rich" have such and such amount of money, doesn't make it so.

The "wealth" tax is going after a phantom net worth figure that will immediately melt away to nothing as soon as the necessary liquidation occurs in order to pay the tax.

The "wealthy" folks pick up their bags and LEAVE. Big surprise, eh? If a government wants to send you to the poor house just because you're supposed to be richer than Croessus, and finds out that it wasn't so after all, what do you call it? What happens if you cannot get rid of these fools, because they stacked the deck so that they cannot be voted out?

Collyfornia has lost the refineries because they are being regulated to death. They are losing the Big Tech operators, because they squander billions of dollars in excess spending, and need these "wealth" taxes to pay for it. The wealth taxes drive away their tax base, and what does Collyfornia want to do next? It always happens this way. It's nothing new, so why do they do it?

Could it be because they dumbed down their population, which doesn't know any better? They are STUPID.

Ten to one they'll blame everbody but themselves. That what commie governments do.
