Why did I have to ruin a perfectly nice day?
6/13/26:
Ah! This one was on New Year's Eve back in 2015... I don't remember what I was doing back then. I think I wasn't working at deliveries anymore by that time.
Lots of irony ( or sarcasm ) here.
But make no mistake. The modern left is bad news. Very bad news.
Dec 31, 2015:
I did once I started writing about liberals. Yep, that'll ruin your day in a hurry. I'm being a bit facetious here. I'm not bothered by it, but I'm sure some of the snowflakes that might be lurking about may be a bit discomfited by it.
Now that those of you who are liberals are forewarned, you can now retreat to your safe zones. That way, you don't have to be bothered by the knuckle dragging, mouth breathing Neanderthal with whom you cannot be bothered to have a debate. That's because you, being that special, special snowflake that you are, are so much better. Of course you are.
The thing I wanted to write about is a word. It is called "catechism". As I noted in the last post, liberals have to believe certain things in order to be a liberal. And Christians too. Not necessarily the same things, though. In fact, if you are a liberal, most likely you aren't a Christian. That's because if you still are a Christian and a liberal, something's dreadfully wrong. The two just don't go together. That's because the catechisms don't match up.
Actually, I don't know what the catechism is with Christians, and I'm not so sure about liberalism either. I have to infer from what I can observe. I won't do it with Christianity, because I'm not trying to bury Christianity, nor to praise it. Can't say the same thing about liberals though.
From the film Brave New World, I observed that the fictional place had the catechism of Community, Identity, and Stability. A catechism, is---" a series of fixed questions, answers, or precepts used for instruction in other situations". I would link to that definition, but that includes other info that I would just as soon not include. I'm most interested in the precepts. Maybe I'll just refer to them as premises instead. My Neanderthal brain can't handle those fancy words.
This gives a working basis that may help in identifying just exactly what a liberal is. Tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. Can you reduce liberalism to just three words? I don't know, but I know one word that applies to them. What is that? Equality. Boy, do liberals believe in that. They believe in it as long as it doesn't apply to themselves, of course. That's because they are just so special little snowflakes, yes they are.
Ah, another pops up in my brain. It is untruth. No, not truth, but untruth. If the liberals find anything that is true, it is like holy water to the Devil. The run from it as fast as they can. That's how they can embrace something like post modernism, which denies that there is any such thing as truth. For the liberal to see truth would be a miracle that would rival the Resurrection itself. For the liberal to see truth, they'd have to be born all over again. What a concept!
Finally, the last word is peace. The liberals love that word, but they sure don't know how to find it. Sort of like truth. Only they really want peace. Oh, they do, they do, they do. But as sure as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, the liberals will never find it. That because of the second part of the catechism, which is about untruth. You can't find peace without truth, and the liberals just can't see truth for what it really is. That is why they are liberals.
You can always hope that liberals will see the light, but don't bet the farm on it.

Dinesh D'Souza -- Death of a Nation
This was a movie made several years ago, maybe in 2018. The point being that I know that it isn't new, but it IS new to me.
There's some new information ( once again to me ) presented. Perhaps it may be considered new to others as well.
It's been written many times here that there's no big difference between communists and fascists. So that isn't new to me. The historical view shows that this is actually quite true. Fascism was well-known to be a creature of the left during the time of Mussolini and Hitler. How many folks knew that? I didn't. Just goes to show ya, I guess.
If I, being one who follows politics a lot; didn't know that, then it stands to reason that many folks out there don't know that.
But I suppose these same folks wouldn't care, or wouldn't bother finding out for themselves if this is true.
Indeed, you cannot convince a man who will not be convinced. You CAN convince a man who is mostly convinced anyway.
I write that because it seems to be a rather powerful movie that should have moved the needle, but really didn't. Why do you suppose that is?
Here's a trailer for the film. It is on Tubi. I just watched it for the first time today. Highly recommended.
Starship 12 failure analysis
6/12/26:
Not claiming to be a steely-eyed rocket man here. However, I can always give my two-cents as to what happened that caused the failure of the booster to perform as intended on flight 12.
In my opinion, the whole problem boils down to timing. The rocket engines in the second stage have to light up just at the right time. These same rocket engines have to be gimbaled so that the engines are pointed at exactly the right angle at the same time. These same rocket engines have to hit the top of the booster at exactly the right place. All of this is a complicated maneuver that depends upon exactly correct timing. If anything happens at the wrong time or wrong place, the whole process will fail. I think that is exactly what happened.
It's not an engine problem, in other words.
It is probably easily corrected, in other words. We should see flight 13 within a few weeks.
Jun 10, 2026:
This video is from Alpha Tech. (Update: WTF??? How did WAI get in embedded in there?? Was that a mistake?! Something odd here...) It is probably a bit too long, or I'm too impatient. Take your pick!
In my opinion (which nobody asked for), I think it is obvious even to a non-steely-eyed rocket man that it couldn't have been SpaceX's intent to have its Starship's plume hit the grid fin of the booster! Therefore, the booster was out of its expected position.
If the booster is out of position, then obviously something went wrong with the hot staging. Everything else follows from this important fact.
You don't need a twenty plus minute video to explain that.
I don't want to be too critical ( even though I am anyway ), it is mostly an informative video.

SpaceX IPO
Starts at $150, and trading higher.
Already a $ 2 Trillion market cap. Not much OPPO there, if you ax me.
You didn't ax me? Well, bless my soul.
Buy low and sell high. This is a bit rich, even if SPCX may be siting on the most fabulous wealth creator in the history wealth creation.
Could it ever rise 100 fold? If it did, imagine what valuation that would be. Insane. It is already insane. They haven't proven the system yet.

Bongino Show, 6/10/26
Jipped in progress at about the 32 minute mark.
AI has to save Sosh Scurity? For the record, AI doesn't HAVE to be a bad thing, but I think it most likely will be. Just like nuclear power didn't HAVE to be a bad thing, but was turned into that.
Anyway, Elon Musk has a plan. You know what? The guy with the plans (Musk) may be the one who can get it all done, but the left wants to destroy him because he bought Twitter, and said some critical things about their itty-bitty selves.
Well boo-friggin'-hoo that their itty-bitty feewings got hurt. Is Musk a savior? Nope. He puts his pants on one leg at a time like us all. But he is doing things. All I see out the lunatic left is destruction. We have a problem with Sosh Scurity cuz of what the left did with population through abortion and homosexuality---as well as other dumb stuff that they do or don't do.

A few words about Gold
6/10/26:
A golden oldie! Quite literally, in fact...
Yours truly made lots of money off gold rush of yesteryears, not that that matters anymore. If you think of it as a loss in buying power, then selling your gold for profit really isn't profit. No way I could've held what I had because of you know what.
Nevertheless, nearly $5k for one ounce of gold seemed rather pricey. It may have topped out for now. A pullback seems to be in progress. How long will that last? I have no crystal ball. Don't follow the markets anymore anyhow.
Update later the same day:
Apr 5, 2011:
I write about this from time to time, and I guess it is a good time to do it again. I was reading an essay on Kitco, by the Aden sisters , and I saw this chart
Let me point out a few things here. Look at where the trend begins, just after Bush was inaugurated. To be even more accurate, it began when the previous top was exceeded, and when the previous low was higher. The higher low was just after the inauguration in 2001; when the higher high took place was early in 2003. It so happens that Fed policy became very accomodative at that exact moment in time. Just a coincidence? I think not.
What I get out of this is that the 911 event has put a strain on our finances and that the Fed and the government is financing it by inflationary policies. The war in Iraq began in March 2003. By that time, gold was not in a big uptrend yet. It broke above 500 in 2006. Guess what happened that year? The Democrats came into power in Congress. Actually, they won the election and took power the next year. The war in Iraq had been dragging on and the government was losing control. By the time 2008 was rolling around, the price of gold was clearly reaching historical heights.
Democrats couldn't force us out of Iraq, and were favorably inclined to spend more. No control over spending, neither for domestic spending nor for the war spending.
Recession occurred and the only response that the government had was to increase its spending even more. But that's what got us into this mess in the first place. Turning to bigger government is like drinking from the same well that is making us sick. Time to stop drinking from that well before they poison us all with national bankruptcy.

Blogging burnout?
6/10/26:
Another moldy-oldy to respond to... Well, sure seemed like a low-point back in 2014 as far as the good 'ol USA was concerned.
Trump came along and there was some hope. He's still around, and the left is more insane than ever. Well, look at it this way. If the left ain't going nutso, we must be doing something wrong...
Sep 24, 2014:
At the moment, I can't get really excited about anything. If I am not excited, I am not motivated. If I am not motivated, I probably won't write anything.
Update: That last sentence reminded me of the Austin Power's movie. But people won't die if I don't write. Or maybe they won't. Bwah hah hah!
Take the Climate March for instance. It is hard for me to believe that this is a serious thing. People there do not practice what they are preaching. If they were, they'd give up all their possessions and move out to a homestead in the country. Will Al Gore and the rest of these celebrities give up their rich lifestyles? Doubtful.
That they are serious about something, there's little doubt. These people want something. But to do anything about "climate change", no they aren't serious. This isn't about the climate, I suspect.
"War on Women"? Not serious, folks. Why would any society make a war on its women? To commit suicide, perhaps? If there's a real war on women, it is from the people claiming to be against the war on women. For to wage a war on women is to kill off a society, and that is what these people are doing in the name of protecting women. The reality is that they are destroying the futures of young women.
As for the GOP, who can they not succeed in running against insanity like this? It should be as easy as taking candy from a baby, but these guys are flummoxed. Well, they are supposedly flummoxed.
Limbaugh tried to explain why the GOP can't do anything. It struck me as excuse making.
Incidently, there's supposedly some plot to destroy Limbaugh. If only. Limbaugh isn't a big help these days. Conservatism can probably live without him. He is a non-entity as far as I can tell. He's the best thing the libs have going for them.
Conservatives had better find themselves some real leadership.
Dick Morris talked about how Obama wants to change America. Well, duh. That's so obvious. What isn't obvious is why isn't anything being done about it? A horrible thought then occurred to me. Morris is just another mercenary making money off the misery of the land. There's nothing serious about the man just as there is nothing serious about the people in this land. Conservatism? What conservatism! Nothing is being done and nothing will be done because nobody intends to do anything at all.
All this and the Climate March marches on. The left is winning by default. Hard to get excited about a bunch of people who stand by and do nothing while their country is being stolen from them.

Announcement: Medical issues
6/9/26:
It is interesting to go back and read a post like this from the past... This was the first manifestation of symptoms of which would later be diagosed as cancer. The tests came short of what would have been necessary in order to discover it at that time. The test? An MRI was necessary. X-rays were simply inadequate. The X-rays did discover something unusual about my tailbone. I was asked if I had broken it at one time. To my knowledge, I had not.
The nature of chordomas is that they grow slowly and do not go metastatic like many other cancers. For that reason, it went undiagonosed for nearly five years! How would've things gone if I had gotten an MRI? Hard to say, but I thought about that. Five years earlier would've have meant no ObamaCare. It would've likely meant that surgery would've been prescribed, and from what I've heard, a wheelchair in my future.
The cancer grew bigger and more dangerous all the time. Yet things worked in my favor. I have pondered over that many times.
Sometimes there are no answers for why things happen the way they do.
May 4, 2012:
I've been dealing with a medical problem for the last few days that has kept me from my job. It now appears that it may do more than that. I thought it was manageable, but evidently it is not. There is a likelihood of a lot of tests to determine what the problem is, and depending upon that, a possible hospital stay of an uncertain duration.
So this is a bit of a notification that there will be light posting until the situation plays out.
With respect to all my writing about political matters, and Obamacare, no matter what happens, I am content with my decisions. I never expected a handout from anyone and have always did my best to give value for value. I have lived my life in accordance with that. I would have liked to have done better, but that may not have been in the cards.
I don't want to sound morbid here, but my condition may be serious. If I am fortunate and it is not all that serious, I will be back soon.
One further thing. I feel my latest work has been my best. The bit about Seinfeld really does describe what is happening and it has a medical ( psychological) side to it, in Dr. Sanity's opinion ( and obviously I agree). Frankly, I think the entire country and world is sick in spirit. There needs to be a renewal. But like my own situation, until one recognizes a problem, one can't begin to deal with it. Hopefully a problem will be recognized and dealt with in time before it becomes too late to deal with it.
Breitbart died and some people seem to find satisfaction in it. That is what I mean by a spiritual sickness. By the way, I don't compare myself to Breitbart, but I have something in common with him. Hopefully, I haven't made the same mistake he did.
Update:
I went to the doctor and at the moment, things do not appear to be as bad as I may have feared. It appears though that the situation has still not completely resolved, as to cause and so forth, so more visits are likely in the near future. I thought I might be in a hospital tonight, you see.
Blogging should resume on a light schedule over the weekend.

Understanding the PetroDollar
6/9/26:
There's a lot of fearmongering of inflation. If there's inflation, it isn't because of oil prices. The inflation bogeyman won't show up as badly as they say, or maybe not at all.
The stats are showing that prices are not increasing at that rate---yet. Some more stats are due soon. If it shows higher inflation, I'll call it out as bull hockey, anyway. "Lies, damned lies, and statistics".
4/13/26:
The thought about high oil prices and inflation does not jibe with Milton Friedman's theories about money. That is, it doesn't until you consider the petrodollar. Then it starts to make more sense.
That means the current high prices for oil won't cause inflation. It will cause the reverse. Less money means high "interest" rates. The price of oil works like interest rates. If interest rates are high, economic output drops. That means recession.
The statistics show a higher rate of inflation, but not all of the stats showed that. If you count "core" inflation, the prices didn't go up. That means aside from oil prices, the inflation rate did not go up. Eventually, the rest of the price structure will fall even while oil prices stay relatively high.
That would be true if oil is acting like a currency. Check back later to see if that is true.

Bongino show, 6/8/26
Trump's not exactly being subtle here. (that's an understatement meant as a joke)
Update:
Lots of inside baseball here. Found out the bit on the Welker interview that was so contentious. Read the comments on Free Republic here, specifically regarding the breakdown of some issues regarding Weaponization of Government at Powerline. Typical for the RINOS: undercutting any real opposition to Democrats' corruption and shennanigans.

A tendency for self-deprecation
Maybe I've had this trait forever. Or maybe it was something I developed over my life as a type of wisdom obtained from the school of hard knocks.
Sometimes it goes too far.
I call myself a Keyboard Warrior. True enough, but I have done some stuff before. So maybe that is giving the impression that I will do nothing but talk or write.
"Doing Nothing" ain't me. If that impression is given from my self-deprecations, then it is the wrong impression.
I DO believe in taking action. Action is called for right now. Blaming things on my age is not a thing I want to do. But reality is reality.
Action is needed now. The question is who, how, and when?
I suspect that there won't be any action, and people will dismiss me as well. But they've already been doing that anyway.
Even Keyboard Warrioring is more than most people do. The fact is people don't want to do anything. Not even the simplest things. Even the most "safe" things.
Unless I am wrong, we have swerved into a time in which taking the easy way out ain't an option.
Two options are available. 1) fight back or 2) surrender. I think that unless I am reading people all wrong, that the second option will be taken.
I am writing this in connection with the stolen election in California. It's not like this was unexpected. People expected the election of 2020 to be stolen. This was well in advance of the election. True to expectations, that's exactly what happened.
But nothing was done to stop it. Therefore, why wouldn't it happen again and again when there's nobody willing to put a stop to it?
So keyboarding is about all I can do right now. Not that I haven't already done more than almost everybody else does.
I won't self-deprecate THAT.

Know the law, know your rights
If we're headed for real trouble, and we just might be, the knowledge of the law can be of vital importance. Hence this video should be studied and understood.
A little reality here
The corruption in California is blatant. It should make any decent person angry. A call to action may seem to be equivalent for a call to violence. But make no mistake. It is not the time for that.
Is it ever a time for violence? Yes. There's no doubt that there are times when violence may be the only response available.
But for me? No. I am in no condition for a physical fight. If I am unwilling or unable to fight, perhaps I shouldn't suggest fighting.
I cannot shoulder a weapon and march. Simply not possible. I can fire a gun. That much I can do. Anything physical. No.
Wars are for the young and able-bodied. We may be on the cusp of a war, or a surrender. Take your pick. This corruption is so blatant that it should be considered intolerable. But what can you do about it? What WOULD you do about it? What are you prepared to do about it? If history is any guide, there may be words and that's about it.
Words has gotten us nowhere. Just sayin'.
All I can do is defend my space. But that has always been the case. But that is easily defeated.
The Chicago Way
6/8/26:
We're swerving straight into the Chicago Way RIGHT NOW. What are you prepared to do?
Better do something about the blatant fraud taking place NOW. Failure theater won't cut it. We need RESULTS. NOW.
The reason I'm putting this up (9/9/24) was a couple lines there at the end.
1) God hates a coward, and
2) Do you know what a blood oath is? Because you just took one.
Another reason is that I don't know if anybody in this country is prepared for what may be coming down the pike, and very soon now. Playing it safe may not be an option.
Post script:
The Biden Administration sure acts like they are helpless in doing anything more than what they are doing in terms of preventing these assassination attempts. As Bongino noted, there's practically no accountability here, and now they are taking victory laps like they did something good, when the truth is that they didn't do a good job.
This is the kind of thing we are facing. An institutional Chicago Way, in which they are willing to DO and SAY ANY DAMNDED THING. Now they want to punish people and JAIL them for merely expressing an adverse opinion to their interests. Well, all good men should answer the call, because our country is at risk from something like that. Playing it safe may not be an option.
Laying that guilt trip on thick
6/8/26:
A thought: Guilt-tripping is suicidal empathy? Update: Probably not. Continue:Most folks know about white guilt. It was spoken of during the Obama campaign in 2008. "White folks are so bad that they cannot be allowed to exist"--I've seen something like that on the web.
I can figure non-whites getting into that kind of hate-mode. But why would white people do it, or allow themselves to be brainwashed into it?
Maybe because they think it makes them good people. They're not good. They're stupid.
Never underestimate the power of stupid.
Ah, yes! Never say never unless it is a rule.

There is a girl from Germany who posts on YouTube. She talked about Adolf Hitler and World War II. When she got to the history of the event, she said something that reminded me of all the guilt tripping that has been laid upon the West. This is communist inspired, I suspect.
As usual, the left doesn't care about the Holocaust. They just want to use it as a political device that can gain them more power. Once you recognize this tactic, you may be able to start counter-acting it. Without any counter, you are totally defenseless against it.
There was a video posted here about how Hitler overthrew the Weimar Republic. The same kind of tactics are being employed today, which is quite an irony. The left wants to impose guilt so that they can get you to disarm yourselves, and become completely subjugated to their will. Hitler disarmed all Germans, it should be noted. Hitler had his Brownshirts. Hitler used his Brownshirts to quell opposition. At the end of the Weimar Republic, Hitler's Nazi Party was declared as the only legal party in Germany. As a coup de grace, Hitler had all allegiance sworn to him PERSONALLY.
Hitler's Brownshirts were led by a notorious homosexual, Ernst Roehm. When Roehm was no longer useful to him, he had Roehm liquidated. A Christian would not have done that. The commies have the homosexuals believing that Hitler was a Christian, and that Christians would have all homosexuals sent to the concentration camps and gassed. All fascists must be Christians, so all Christians are super guilty because they caused Hitler to come to power. Or so it goes.
Germany was put through a huge, huge guilt trip. That has spread all over the West. We are constantly reminded of the past, and how the West colonized the world. The West was responsible for slavery and degradation of the environment. You get the picture. All of this inspires GUILT. Guilt must be expiated somehow. What better way for an enemy to destroy you than to get you to blame all evil on your own existence? Then you commit suicide, as this is the only way to bring justice for all the harm you allegedly did. This is what is happening to the West. The West is characterized as evil, and the only justice is for it to be eradicated.
The appropriate way to address what Hitler did was not to go on some super duper guilt trip. It is to rationally deduce what went wrong, and to correct it so that it won't happen again. Evidently, that isn't happening, for many of the same things that brought down the Weimar Republic are happening right here in the USA this very day.
The US Supreme Court had the chance to address the issue of oaths of office in the elections controversy. They refused the case. If this was addressed, then the oath of office would be treated seriously, which it is not. If it is not treated seriously, then what prevents a private oath of loyalty, such as the one to Adolf Hitler, from being made? The Supreme Court failed us. If there is no importance to the oath, then what inspires loyalty to the document? Anything at all? If there's no loyalty to the founding document, then what is going to preserve it? This could explain the rapidly deteriorating civil liberties that is found in the USA today. If the oath is not preserved, then what preserves the right to vote, the right to free speech and association, and the rest of the Bill of Rights?
The political left has gotten a lot of political mileage out of the guilt tripping. These people make it a religion to feel so guilty. They feel holier than thou when they feel so guilty. But they solve nothing that caused what happened in Germany in the Third Reich. The errors that brought the Nazis to power are being repeated this very day. American democracy and freedom will not be preserved, because that is the Big Lie. The Big Lie is what the Nazis liked to employ, and that is being repeated here as well. The Big Lie is that the left cares about Democracy and Freedom. They only seek to use these words as a means to power. This is what they care about.
Wake up America.
original post
Aaron Sorkin has joined in the kick Palin chorus. It's the old emotional manipulation of laying out the old guilt trip. Sorkin wants Palin to feel ultra guilty.
Sorkin was furious that the documentary showed Palin hunting and killing a caribou. Although she made it clear that she intended to eat the animal, according to Sorkin, she had committed an act of murder and torture.Notice how it has to be justified on the grounds that the animal had to be eaten in order for this to be acceptable. But even that justification isn't even acceptable to Sorkin, who wants to push vegetarianism, if one is to take this to it logical conclusion.
Why does Palin have to justify herself to Sorkin? Why should Palin have to justify herself in hunting caribou for whatever reason? Who cares what Sorkin thinks? Evidently, there are those who do. Hence, the technique is used because it works.
The left can use this tactic in order to manipulate others. It only works if you accept their moral authority. But who gives Sorkin or any others like him the moral authority? Question their authority, I say. They don't have any unless you recognize it.
Here is an previous example that I posted on this phenomenon.

Totally fraudulent election. Nothing more needs to be said.
Daily Update:
But the Supreme Court may say something about it. Soon enough to make a difference?
Trump's DOJ may do something about it, but is it failure theater?

Angry Astronaut is still angry
Angry mentions this article, I believe. Don't recall seeing a link in the description, but the article reads a lot like what Angry is saying in his video. Angry fails to mention that it MIGHT be a software issue, which the SpaceDaily article mentions in its last few paragraphs. If it is software, then it will be ready for flight in weeks, not months. If it is hardware, it could be months.
The flip maneuver was rather aggressive. If the flight data shows that a less aggressive move may be successful, would that be good enough to satisfy a mishap investigation? There was another video ( not linked here ) that speculated that the flip maneuver was off a bit. The grid fin caught the wake of the upper stage, when it wasn't supposed to do that.
This may be a relatively easy fix.
As for the New Glenn mishap, yet another video said that the damage wasn't as bad as initially thought, and the pad could be repaired by the end of this year. Not good, but not as bad either.
It's okay to be critical, but Angry doesn't give out much new information here. I thought that some new info emerged, but this doesn't give much new information, and leaves out some other information that could be mitigating in terms of his critical commentary.
Never underestimate the power of stupid
"Never recover?" Never say "never". But I just did that. But that's different. (it's a rule and a joke)
The Republicans Are Saps and Saps Deserve to Lose
Free Republic
Quote:
We all know what they are, and I understand the anger, but it is cutting of your nose to spite your face.
That's how you get Democrats, and enough of that kind of thing, and we'll be tossed into wilderness forever. In such case, the only way out may be bloodshed. Is that what you want?
Be careful what you wish for.
The GOP should be chosen if the there are no better alternatives. I voted for McCain and Romney. Yes, I voted for Cornyn, too. But I was glad that Cornyn lost. When there was a better alternative, I voted for Cornyn. (correction: not this time!) I never liked McCain nor Romney. Was the zero a better choice?
While I understand the sentiment to boycott the GOP, I do not necessarily agree on the wisdom of such a move.

Promethean Action PAC Discovers MAGAnomics
The Conservative Treehouse
This is one of the main reasons I support Trump. He won't abandon this because it is in his DNA.
Interesting thing said in the video: that Lincoln and McKinley were assassinated because of the "American System" of economics that they followed. Also, the Promethean Action video says that's the same reason that Trump is a target for assassination.
What about Kennedy? Kennedy favored TAX CUTS. Maybe Kennedy was assassinated for his pro-American policy preferences. In MY mind, this discombobulation of the American system which produced so much wealth for America is indeed a target of America's enemies--both foreign and DOMESTIC.

Let's be more constructive, please
Just did a 'truth' on Truth Social. It is embedded below, with some additional comments afterward.
Comment on the "truth":
Yours truly has a few complaints about Ringer's complaints about Trump. Let me list them:
1) Duration of the war: response: The "war" has paused for longer than the actual hostilities took place. There's been a ceasefire for quite some time, but the detractors keep calling it a "war".
2) Trump is probably guilty of hyperbole. With regard to "no more targets left to bomb", this is probably a bit of hype. You could say the same about Ringer's criticisms. Does Trump have to be 100% accurate in every single thing he says. If he was, almost everybody will have to go out of business.
3) He has a list of other quotes that fit the same pattern. Point made. I think we all get it.
He does list some of Trump's achievements here, to be fair. I want to be fair. Maybe being a better communicator, we can all start by being fair with the criticisms.
There are indeed some good communicators. Maybe could say even GREAT ones. One of those is The Conservative Treehouse.
Some may think of CTH ( Conservative Treehouse) as a Trump shill. But it isn't. Even if you think it is partisan Trumpist, the points are quite often valid nonetheless.
Of course, I support Trump. Of course, I've had my frustrations. But the guy delivers more often than not. For that reason, I say 'criticism is okay, but be fair about it.' Sometimes, I've hyped the criticism of Trump myself. But I'm dialing the hype back. In constrast, the left doesn't tolerate any criticism at all. We should not be like them. But we shouldn't overdo it. Rein it in a bit, but don't go to war just over a relatively minor point.
The left is victim of its own groupthink. They aren't stupid. Indeed, groupthink can happen even among some very intelligent folk. There's more than one way to be stupid. Forcing yourself into groupthink is really dumb, ya'll.
Trump should explain his economic agenda a bit better. The American System has a long history in this country, so it isn't something Trump pulled out of his hat. It is more like a Hamiltonian approach to industrial strength. America has all but abandoned home-grown industry. That has to change, and Trump is doing that. That is one of the reasons I support the guy.
His speaking is easy to forgive because his faults are not that big of a deal to me.
Didja know?
This scene from Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask", won an Oscar? It says so in the description. Never thought much about Oscars, but I do like the movie.
