¡No Pasarán!: Epstein Scandal: No Matter How Clever You Think Tr...: No matter how shrewd you (rightfully) think Donald Trump is, you do not appreciate his brains enough. Admit it, like myself you have bee...
Comment:
Not to disagree with anything here, just consider this: After all the good things that Trump has been doing, the direction of the country poll and Trump's approval poll ARE WAY DOWN. If that doesn't impress you, one of Texas' reddest district just elected a Democrat to fill a once Republican held seat in a special election. Maybe 10-15% of the voters registered actually showed up to vote.
People are going to get blind-sided with what may be coming. If the MAGA people won't show up in Texas, then when WILL they show up? If they don't, the Democrats are going to be calling the shots in Congress sooner than you think.
The country I grew up in, and the country today
Nobody clicked on this one in the last 24 hrs. Too bad. I think this one is the best... But that's me.
12/21/23:
The country I grew up in put a man on the moon when I was still riding bicycles to school. That's compared to the country today, which hasn't been back to the moon since. Back then, rocket scientists used slide rules. Today they have powerful computers. Too bad today's scientists cannot match them, despite the advancement in computers. Maybe they could if science was still being taught in schools, as opposed to the fake science of today.
The country I grew up in built virtually all of its own automobiles. That's compared to the country today, which may not be making cars for much longer. The most successful entrepreneur in the automotive sphere in this country is Elon Musk, who is now being targeted for destruction. His offense is to oppose a leader who claims to be democratic. We fought a Cold War to stop what this administration is doing routinely. This was inconceivable in this country when I was a kid.
The country I grew up in had several plane manufacturers. Boeing was one of them. Boeing today is a shadow of its former self, and can't seem to make new planes anymore. Perhaps they can managed a fleet of planes, but as far as innovation, this company might as well be dead. It will be dead for sure within a generation. Boeing was just one of many airplane manufacturers, mind you. The others appear to have gone missing. This appears to be an unstoppable trend.
The country I grew up in was one in which most people could own their own home. Don't look now, but the country today does not look promising for the American dream for much longer either. Interest rates are difficult to service now, while inflation isn't likely to be tamed even at these rates. It won't be much longer when there will be massive defaults on home loans. That's what happened in 2008, and will likely happen again. You cannot borrow your way into prosperity, but the current crop of rulers seem to believe that's possible to create wealth out of thin air. They learned nothing from the Great Recession.
The country I grew up in had an agricultural sector that produced more than what could be consumed. The country today will likely not be able to feed itself in the near future. You will be told to eat bugs because we cannot grow cattle anymore for our beef. Say goodbye to McDonalds, unless they want to make you a McBug burger. All of this in the name of preserving the environment, which appears to be going to hell anyway. At least according to them.
The country I grew up in had a medical establishment second to none. The country today makes billions off of a vaccine that doesn't even work. Even worse, the so-called vaccine caused more harm than good. That's what so-called Progressives call "compassion".
The country I grew up in guarded its borders. The country today has no border to speak of, and will cease to be a country soon. The rulers today seem to think that is a strength, but history has shown otherwise. The Roman Empire fell because it could no longer guard its own borders. Today's so called leaders would prefer to guard somebody else's border.
The country I grew up in had free elections, and a free press. The country today, illegals get a free ride, but no more free elections for us. You will vote Democrat, or you will be punished. It looks more and more like the old Soviet Union.
The country I grew up in was the greatest country on Earth. The country I die in may not even exist for much longer. There are way too many people who seem content with that. But it seems a shame to me. The kids today don't look to the future with hope and expectation. There seems to be little reason for that, as the so called leadership seem content with driving the country straight into oblivion. If you complain about it, you are called an extremist. If protest it, you are called an insurrectionist. The destroyers are called good, and the builders are called evil. Little wonder that things are the way they are. Nothing lasts forever, and that seems to be true the "good ol'" USA too.
This doesn't look illegal
Here's another that has received a few clicks.
Not going to look for new videos to substitute. This will stand as is, for it is testimony to the fact that the big boys want to disarm the little guy.
Congress is owned by you know who. Congress and the SCOTUS don't do as much as they should to live up to the constitution that they swore an oath to defend. It's all fake, all the way down the line.
Original Post, 12/21/14:
A bit of caution here. As a complete know nothing on the subject, I cannot say one way or another if this is legal or not. The website says it is legal, but it could be wrong.
What makes me think it might be legal is that the "jig" fits on top of the part that is to be drilled out. You can see that demonstrated in the following video. This is in contrast to what I read on another site that said that the material to be removed was placed inside in what was referred to as a "biscuit" and served as a guide to make the holes being shown in the video below. This may seem like a hard distinction to understand from just reading it. If you watch the video, maybe it will become more clear.
Here's another video that the author calls a review. He describes his experience a bit in detail.
None of this answers the question as to why would anyone buy it. This is one obvious reason, but that reason will definitely put you on the wrong side of the law.
If I said it once...
Here's another that got a click. There's not as many clicks on this post as you would imagine. Or maybe it wouldn't be that big of a surprise after all at not having clicks.
The times are full of confused people, who do not know jack about jack.
If you don't know the constitution, then you cannot call yourself a conservative. Judging by a lot of what gets said out there in terms of speaking up for conservatism, I'd say the country is full of ignoramuses. Pardon me englich, but is that ignorami? Whatever!
Original post, 9/29/17:
I have said it a hundred times. It is not liberal to tax corporations. Unless you think the US Constitution was written by a bunch of bleeding heart libs...
The original constitution said that there was not to be a "capitation tax, or direct tax". The sixteenth amendment did away with that. Do away with the sixteenth amendment. Get rid of the capitation tax. That would be conservative.
But if you cannot tax individuals, then who do you tax? Ahem, ahem, ahem.
The whole point of import taxes and taxes on corporations deals with the priorities of maintaining individual freedom. Yet, even "conservatives" don't get this.
That's why there really aren't very many conservatives in this country anymore. Many of them, or probably all of them, don't know what the hell it is. If the original constitution ain't conservative, there ain't no such thing. And that is where we are today.
I had to correct these dudes before. The work never ends...

This reminds me of something
In the book, "You Can Negotiate Anything", Herb Cohen says of power ( I have to paraphrase) "Power is a mind-blowing thing. You can have it even if you don't; and not have it, even if you do." The GOP sure does act like they don't have power, even though they DO, and the Democrats sure do act like they have it, when they sure as hell DON'T.
Power Is a Posture by Michael Smith
Why Democrats govern like owners and Republicans like renters—and how confidence, not ballots, often decides who actually leads.
Read on SubstackOJ Simpson juror says something shocking...
..but not so shocking at the same time.
Read Bugliosi's book on the subject.
What this juror in that trial said matches up with the book. That is to say, Bugliosi believed that at least a hung jury was possible if the case was tried properly. The OJ juror just gave proof of that by what she says in the tweet below:
A juror from the O.J. Simpson trial said 90% of the jury believed he was guilty but acquitted him anyway as ‘payback’ to White people. pic.twitter.com/CHZgIIZ53i

Deregulation unleashes "David"...
... as in the "Army of Davids?"
So it seems that Insty's creator may be right about something...
SpaceX: The Smart Money Was Always on David by Rod D. Martin
Elon Musk has collapsed the cost of space travel by doing things his stodgy, "we've always done it that way" competitors could not, and still won't. The smart money knew that from the first.
Read on SubstackQuick take on the news; 2/6/26
1) Sen. Tuberville says 6 members of Congress weren't legitimately elected, revolver link. Heh. The Democrats spent all that effort to make the fake accusation that Trump colluded with the Russians. That fraud was to keep the spotlight off their own fraud.
2) Could the following story be proof positive that the left-right Marxist Paradigm is exactly what Ronald Reagan said it was: a non-starter of an ideology. The ideology was the false choice between the left and the "right". In other words, think for yourselves. You don't have to mindlessly join up with a phony construct such as the Marxist Paradigm of the left v the right. Furthermore, to disagree with both doesn't put you in the "middle". It merely says that you don't agree with either their notions of the "left", "middle", and "right". The left uses this false construct to squelch opposition. By labeling all disagreement as "fascist", the leftists seek to end all opposition to their phony assertions.
3) Instapundit. Winning the battles, but losing the war? Instapundit has a lot of hyper optimistic posts, lately. Is it justified when Rasmussen's Presidential approval poll for Trump is down to 41%?! What the bleep, Insty? If things are going so well, why aren't Trump's numbers in the stratosphere? They're not. I must be missing something, or Instapundo is.
Okay, but there's this; which is more in line with what I think. Which is, why the disconnect between results and Trump's lack of popularity? Is there something wrong with the Rasmussen poll? The direction of the country polls seem better than previously; but if so, why doesn't Trump's numbers reflect that?

Rossi's Self Sustaining One Megawatt Reactor
Whatever happened to cold fusion? It's a sad story. Indeed, the whole story may have been a big hoax, but I'm not so sure. The world can be a very cruel place sometimes. Do not jump to the conclusion that those who were discredited (Flieshman and Pons) really deserved that fate. It could well be that their discovery was suppressed at the behest of some very powerful interests.
So many of the links below, if not all, no longer work. Someday, cold fusion may rise again.
7/22/11:
by Hank Mills Pure Energy Systems News (was a link, but no longer available)
I think that a self sustaining reactor should be the final "nail in the coffin" for the skeptics. Where does the energy come from if all other sources have been eliminated?
The fact that the one megawatt plant will use no input power (the vast majority of the time) is very important. This will be absolute -- beyond any doubt -- proof that the technology works as claimed. Simply put, the pathological skeptics and naysayers will not be able to refute that cold fusion is taking place. [emphasis added]
As for why it could work, the Bose Einstein Condensate Theory may check out. Several weeks ago, I recall seeing this observation about the phenomenon known as "cold fusion"
| "cold fusion is a surface effect phenomenon", http://youtu.be/gGJiLrG3fLY Note: no longer available, but one substituted in its place, at 46 minutes into video |
Now, let's look at the Bose Einstein Condensate Theory, put forth by Yeong Kim, Purdue Nuclear and Many Body Theory Group (PNMBTG) Preprint PNMBTG-6-2011 (June 2011)
(1) additives used (not disclosed in the patent application) form Ni alloy and/or Ni metal/alloy oxide in the surface regions of nickel nano-scale particles, so that Ni atoms/nuclei become mobile with a sufficiently large diffusion coefficient and (2) local magnetic field is very weak in the surface regions, providing a suitable environment in which two neighboring protons can couple their spins anti-parallel to form spin-zero singlet state (S=0). Relatively low Curie temperature (nickel has the Curie temperature of 631 oK (~358 oC)) is expected to help to maintain the weak magnetic field in the surface regions [emphasis added]
There may be some objections to the Bose Einstein Condensates forming at these temperatures, but the others who say it can happen. The theory has to be experimentally tested.
Returning to Mill's article:
Secondly, the nickel powder is processed in such a way that tubercles or protrusions form on it. After this processing, the nickel may resemble filamentary nickel. (previous 2 words was a link, but no longer available)
This further supports the notion that it is a surface phenomenon. Filaments mean more surface area, I gather.
The high surface activity of T255 nickel powder's fine filamentary structure facilitates diffusion during sintering, ensuring high porosity with good strength, superior conductivity and long battery life.[http://www.incosp.com/products/type_255/ --- link brokenIn a Bose Einstein Condensate, the coulomb barrier is suppressed, which allows the "cold fusion" reaction to take place.
This is a crock, as usual
The funding of the government, and deficit spending, does not necessarily cause inflation.
That isn't my opinion, it is the opinion of the late Milton Friedman. The article mentioned on Free Republic conflates government spending with inflation and it just isn't so, according to Friedman. According to Friedman, inflation is a monetary phenomenon. Consequently, there could be inflation when the gold supply increases and the country is on the gold standard.
Deficit spending climbed faster during the Reagan years, but inflation WENT DOWN from double digits to single digits. So, there is no connection to deficit spending.
What makes deficit spending so bad is that the government finances spending with DEBT. There is no need to finance government with so much DEBT. But that is how it is done, and the deficits are being aggravated by the high cost of debt.
Stop giving excuses for hating on Trump. Let him do the job he was elected to do, and wait until something happens before you start complaining about it. Inflation didn't go up because of tariffs, either. These people...
Ann Barnhardt
People seem to be clicking on that for some reason.
Is something going on with her that I don't know about?
I have no news on that subject.
If people want my reaction, there does seem to be quite a few posts on the subject of Ann Barnhardt on this blog.
If there's anything new besides what's already here, all I can mention is that I don't know exactly what to think about her.
Here's a link to one of the posts I dredged up on a search. Nothing much different today than it was back then in 2015.
She's got a relatively new page called BarnhardtMemes. You can try that link if you haven't tried it before.

Judicial coup posts
1) Townhall post --- The Judicial coup continues judge blocks ice from using tear gas on leftist agitators in Portland,
2) Zero-Hedge Boasberg,
3) Editorial on PowerLine blog: Comment: Yet GOP voters are heap big mad at Trump--why??? You can't show up for important special elections when a narrow majority in Congress is on the line? That one is on the voters AND the party. They keep letting Democrats off the hook. This should cost Democrats, but instead they get rewarded for outrageous behavior. All because the party and the people cannot stay on target.,
4) PowerLine post which shows things may not be THAT bad:
5) My reaction to all this: Why should we LOSE the message war when all the facts, and all the potential benefits should argue that we should win BIG TIME, and
6) Here's another way of putting it: If you let the Democrats back in, then you shoot yourselves in the foot. But perhaps there are those who would prefer a WAR. Maybe that's what it would take, but you MAY be able to avoid that. Indeed, everything possible should be done in order to prevent that. A war is what the Dems want. Why give it to them?

Texas Special Election
Here's an op-ed that will be embedded as a web-page inside this post. This technique isn't always successful, so it will bear watching. If the New York Post blocks it, it will have to come down, but the link to it will remain.
So, I blog-splained enough for this post.
As for the content of the op-ed, there is a lot of hand-wringing of the poor turnout from the GOP for the special election. It also involved a Congressional seat that should've remained with the GOP. It was held in a "ruby-red" district. However, the turnout was terrible. The Dems on the other hand, showed up and snatched away the Federal seat in Congress, as well as a Texas Senatorial seat.
Not very encouraging ya'll. The news doesn't look good either, as the Democrats managed to win the budget battle that has just taken place in DC over the shutdown. No doubt this ridiculous showing has the GOP base in a tizzy.
If this keeps up, DC might as well fly the hammer and sickle flag soon. The GOP needs to get its poo-poo together and fast.
In the end, it may only serve the Dems as a temporary propaganda victory. If the GOP has the base fired up and willing to show for this special election, the Dems would've lost. Therefore, there's not necessarily all that much at stake here; however it is indeed a shot over the bow for the GOP. If they won't get it together, they're going to disappoint in the fall.
It won't embed, so never mind that. What's with that, anyway? What's the harm in embedding like that? The link is below:

What does "mansplain" mean?
This sentence isn't "mansplain", but "blogsplain" instead. That means it is a reaction to what the audience is clicking on recently. Like this post, fer instance.
As for the "mansplain part, maybe there's a girlsplain, too. Uh, oh! That may have been a mansplain violation!
Girlsplain may be defined to the guys as: "you're in a heap of trouble, boy".
I've got another descriptive phrase in mind, but I won't go there.
I'd get girlsplain session, I do think.
Well, I don't know what brought it all on. Maybe I need someone to explain what all the splaining is about.
I know. Here's another idee. Maybe there's a liberalsplain. Liberalsplain means "shut up".
When a lib loses an argument, they will say "shut up" because that's all they know.

Quick update:

What do they call this "Bush-splaining"?
4:45 pm:
Navarro is quoted to have said "Don't mansplain me!" to Senator Paul.
I've seen the term before. It doesn't interest me, generally, to follow their weird vocabulary. But you have to understand the enemy. It does look more and more like they are committed enemies.
So what does this word mean?
:: Wikipedia "wikisplains" it to me: "the person being explained to knows more than the person explaining it." Aah!!! So, the only thing required is that the person being talked to is the feeling that she is being talked down to. It is condescending, in other words. Maybe she knows more than the guy does, maybe she doesn't. But all she needs to feel is that she knows more, and that is all that matters, evidently.
Another jewel I'll pluck here: New York Times labeled it as "words of the year". Yeah, the New York Times is one helluva authority now.
When it comes to the lefties, only they can talk down to anybody, since they know so much.
The problem is to identify it as a gender item, when it doesn't have to be. Anybody can talk beyond their knowledge level. Yeah, I'm sure I've done it too. Lots of times. The world is a tough place, what can I say? But if you hide behind something that is used as an excuse, maybe you are wrong.
I think it is shallow, and that is what determines so many things today. Maybe shallowness has always been the way of the world. But it never seemed to be so clear to me as it does today.

Rush -- "New World Man"
Sometimes, songs just pop up in my head. When that happens, I can go to YouTube and look it up. So that is what this is. I got the notion to include a Rick Beato video about another one of Rush's songs, so that will be included below.
There are other songs by Rush featured on this here blog. Rush is a Canadian band, so maybe not all is bad about Canada. Just their leaders.
The same might be said on the southern side of the border as well. At present, the possibility for positive change still exists in the USA, or I would like to think so.
The most likely scenario for Canada is not good. If Canada doesn't fall apart, they will likely become a totalitarian state. But this country is in danger of that as well.
The New World Man cannot get it done, although he'd like to. Will MAGA get it done in the USA? Things have turned downward, I'd say. More on that, later...
Patton and Trump
2/2/26: Update of post made on 8/9/15:
There's hardly not any comments on this blog. That's probably due to the fact that I ask people to identify themselves before posting a comment. That idea is to discourage abusive comments. It may have an unfortunate side-effect of no comments at all.
But there may be another way. Some posts get more clicks than others. This one seems to have come up. Ok, I'll use that, then.
It looks like I've changed my opinion of Trump from an earlier time. This post was written back in 2015. It must not have been long after he came down the escalator. I was suspicious of Trump initially.
It is probably true that there's a post somewhere on my change of opinion on Trump. Most likely it involved how others treated him a lot worse than he is treating others. Probably for that reason, I changed my opinion on Trump. If others behaved towards each other the way that I indicated that Trump should've, the country would be far better off. The fact is that they don't. The Democrats have been horrific in how they treat ALL their opponents. After all, they SHOT at Trump. They shot at Charlie Kirk too, and he didn't survive. Whatever Trump is, he's not THAT bad.
So there's that. Sometimes things aren't the way they're supposed to be. Trump may seem to have too many rough edges, but that lack of quality exists in a lot more politicians than just Trump.
George W. Bush was more of a gentleman, and look how they treated him. As I recall, they didn't treat his father very well either. The Dems couldn't get Reagan because he was too well-liked. They did run Nixon out of office. Eisenhower is the one that forced Patton to apologize. The left would've run off Eisenhower if they could've. You KNOW they would've. Or maybe not. Maybe standards have slipped a long, long way since those days.
I'll try to remember to look for opportunities like this to respond to the audience.
Thanks for your readership and feedback.
Patton may well have been the best combat general in the military during the Second World War. Yet, even he had to humble himself to an enlisted man. I think this was the correct thing to do. Why?
After studying the incident a bit, I figure that Patton was in the wrong. Actually, it was two men who were slapped, and both of them didn't do anything really wrong. One of the men was sent to the hospital, but not by his request. The other was definitely physically ill. Patton just lost his composure when he jumped to the conclusion that the men were shirking their duty due to cowardice. Slapping them and threatening to shoot them was definitely out of line. An apology was definitely required, or he couldn't continue his command.
So, what about Trump? Obviously Trump has something going for him. Like Patton, he is good at what he does. He is a successful businessman, and he may well be what the doctor ordered in terms of courage to face down an enemy. But to steamroller someone who is asking some legitimate questions is in no way acceptable if we are going to continue as a free society. There are no unfair questions to a politician, as far as I'm concerned. Trump has stepped out on that stage and must play by those rules.
Although there are no unfair questions to a politician, the way in which the questions are asked these days are indeed unfair. Democrats tend to get softball questions. Republicans get the tougher treatment. A complaint along those lines would be more acceptable. Going after Megyn Kelly for asking tough questions alone is bad enough. But to be insulting to her for being guilty of being a woman was is just way, way too much. Trump must apologize or he must get out of the race. He must do it the way Patton did it--- in front of the entire nation and in front of Megyn Kelly herself.
There is no other way to redeem himself. Our system requires that politicians be responsive to and subservient to the people. A man who considers that he is above it all is unworthy of being at the head of a free people.

Ketosis is a state your body prefers, the lady says
2/8/26; Update:
A couple times for short periods in the last decade; I've tried this with some success. But it didn't hold up because I went back to the bad old ways. Sure enough, the weight came back.
But this time, not only did the weight come back, but my A1c also went up to pre-diabetic levels. Uh-oh!
When I was following the keto regime a few years back, my blood glucose and A1c was in good shape. So, it is rather obvious that I can no longer get away with indulging my sweet tooth.
I've been back on keto for the last few months, and my weight is coming down. On the last blood test, the a1c hadn't come down yet. But I wasn't on full keto yet. The weight loss is accelerating. I must have lost over 10 lbs since I began losing weight.
I'm hoping the blood glucose and a1c will come down on the next test. When will that be? Maybe in a few weeks, we can test it again. Anyway, I will post on this at that time.
I've tried keto before. It works for awhile, then I reach a plateau before falling off the wagon.
A sweet tooth doesn't help. She says even if you don't eat sugar, the body will react as if you had. That means a sweet tasting snack that may seem harmless, won't be. Damn! No more keto ice cream!
