Something's up out there

1/25/25:

Here's another video from Sabine H., but I won't embed it. Indeed, I'd say I don't quite agree with what she says about what everyone is missing. Read thru this post ( in its entirety ) to learn why I am of that opinion.

What everyone gets wrong about AI---Sabine H.

12/7/24, 8:34 AM:

The news keeps getting worrisome, and it is getting more so all the time. The latest news scan this morning is raising new issues.

This latest one involves an AI machine that appears to be exhibiting self-awareness. Just for the record, I don't buy into the notion that machines can be self-aware. However, I will definitely buy into the notion that it can be simulated.

At this point, I should include the tweet that describes the scenario:

The machine was programmed to do the things that it did. Nobody is going to tell me otherwise. The machines isn't "thinking". It is simulating thinking. Now why would somebody do that unless this is desired for some reason? This simulated thinking is programmed into the machine. I cannot think of it unless it is programmed to "think" of it.

A machine that anticipates being shut down doesn't know how to do that on its own unless it is self-aware, and I don't believe the machines are self aware, even if it looks like they are. Somebody wants us all to believe that the machines are learning to think for themselves.

This kind of crap is getting worrisome. Somebody wants these things to get out of control for some reason. That is what I'm worried about.

What I'm referring to is sabotage. We already have a number of people out there who want to disrupt things, and this is now part of the mix. Obviously, I'm suspicious.

10:39 AM:

Life is not a movie, though. This isn't reality TV, either. It's a thing. And a lot of these "things" keep happening, and I get to thinking about them, and so we have this thought that computers may be the "beast" in the Revelation.

A beast would be this unstoppable thing that has the appearance of a man, but is something else.

You take that, and then look at this AI fascination. The phenomenon has all the appearance of a man, and everybody seems charmed and enchanted by this thing that keeps getting more and more powerful. One day, it will be too powerful. Then what? We may well find ourselves enthralled by this thing that looks alive, but isn't.

Revelation says that the beast is a man who is known by a number. Well, computers are nothing but zeroes and ones. Whatever it is, it is that. Therefore it could be said to be known as a number.

Numbers can represented in many ways. A name can be written in numerals that can be made to look like any common name. Take "Bob" for instance. That's a number that could be written in hexadecimal as B0B. BTW, what's hexadecimal? Go look it up. It is just a way of representing numbers. So this name in hexadecimal can give us the appearance of a common name.

But the number of the beast is six threescore and six, and that ain't B0B, not even in hexadecimal. So this theory may not pan out. How many common names are all the same letter? But a numbering system does not have to follow our rules, it could follow Roman numeral rules, or some kind of weird hybrid.

But I haven't worked out that yet. Ask the AI, yuk, yuk. But I did, and it said, "I can't do that, Dave". But I'm not "Dave". yuk, yuk

1/25/25:

Hey, it looks like I probably got it right. Woo-hoo.

1/11/25:

There looks to be an MSN article on gravitic propulsion. I read through some of it, but not all. I won't link to it. I'll keep to the opinion that it is some sort of hoax. The MSN article seems to be treating it as a serious subject.

I suppose I could have it all wrong, but any tech like this would be revolutionary. It doesn't make sense to keep it hidden.

1/7/25:

Why it is almost certainly a hoax

A "gravitic propulsion" device sounds like a warp drive to me. That's Trekkie type stuff. Why do I assert this? "Gravitic" implies that it works on gravity. This also implies that it manipulates the space-time continuum. Such a device is well beyond modern science capabilities. Here's a video describing the problems of such a device.

Therefore, it is most likely a hoax.

1/6/25:

Video joined in progress,

Get a load of this...

This is either a hoax ( not by Bongino ), but someone else; or we're in some deep doo-doo. I suspect a hoax. Such a means of propulsion would be so far advanced, that I'd say it was extra-terrestrial in origin. Our science has not progressed to this point, unless I am mistaken.

Why Didn’t the Democrats Steal the 2024 Presidential Election?

American Thinker: Many Trump supporters believe that Trump won the 2024 election because, this time, the vote for Trump was “too big to rig.” Others dismiss the concern about “stolen elections” because Trump won the popular vote in addition to ...

Yup

So, is all this bragging and gushing over the "mandate" just another psyop? It could be, so don't be a sucker.

In any case, a close election is no reason whatsoever to be so confident. A lot of hard work is necessary to secure the republic. Judging by the comments over at Free Republic, I'm thinking that the psyop will work. Too many people fail to consider how many seats were lost to the Democrats after the election was over. No way this election was completely honest. Indeed, it may have been about as bad as 2020.

Hi, hi, hi there, little droogies!

There's something strange going on with the search engine results when a certain character string is placed within it--ie. "Boots and Oil blog". That be meself, little droogies! The results show no reference at all to this here blog, little droogies; that is on my favorite search engine Start Page. But on Duck Duck Go, the results show links to this here blog like it once did. But on Google it did not, but on Bing, it did. Strange goings on with this search engine.

On Google, if "blogspot" is added to the search string, then the blog links come right back up. With the others, about the same. However, I only checked with Google and Start page.

Yours truly got a little suspicious about that. However, no worries for the moment.

Comment: The article claims a few things that may not be quite accurate. However, there are some justifications for coming down hard on legacy media. For one thing, only a few corporations control a lot of the info flow. In addition to that, these are international in nature. That means that they don't necessary reflect the viewpoints of the public, but the viewpoints of foreigners. Think about that when you realize that the legacy media fomented the Russian collusion hoax, and the Covid madness.

FWIW, how Silicon Valley went Trumpy

The Story is told according to the executives' point of view

Ace at Ace of Spades, HQ: How the Dems pushed Silicon Valley into Trump's arms.

Hey, if you buy it, I guess it's alright. But it sounds like the tech lords are scared of their own wet-behind-the-ears employees. To me, that is not very impressive.

Bongino show, 1/23/25

The Bongino Show--- jipped at the point I thought was most to the point about the Dems. It's why the Democrats can't let go of DIE, and so forth...

Bongino also "thanks" "Dr" Fauci for all his "help" in getting Trump 2.0... It reminded me of the part of Austin Powers movies in which Doctor Evil didn't want to be referred to as "Mr. Evil". It's a bit later in the video, if you stick with it.

The Ongoing Soft Coup Circus

1/24/25:

When can it be said that the opposition has gone too far? Could it be said to be part of an insurrection as well? I'm referring to this Resistance 2.0 to Trump's 2.0. At what point does this cross the line?

As far as the J6th riots, even if they did wrong things, they've already been punished. When is enough enough? As of this writing, I have heard that there's a refusal to allow the pardoned remainder of J6'ers free. On what authority does the Judge have to do this? If they're grabbing more power than they legally have, could this be said to be seditious? I'm thinking some hard questions need to be asked. If not now, then SOON.

1/1/25:

Happy New Jeer Main:

Anyhoo, I read that they're gonna try this sheet again. Only this time, it will be a real coup. If the left disregards the election, they will have overthrown the election. Isn't that what they claimed that Trump was trying to do? These guys aren't even challenging that Trump won. At least Trump said he won. In other words, what the people think doesn't matter, despite all their words about democracy and such. But since it is a circus, it's probably just a show, which is meant to divert attention from the real deal ( whatever that is).

7/22/24:

3:18 PM, 7/22/24:

But if you want to save our freedoms, reading a book won't cut it. We're past that point already. He seems to discount the voting process. It's not time to give up on that yet, in my opinion. But it is getting more and more clear that the powers-that-be care NOTHING for what "we the people" think.

5:18 AM 7/22/24:

The Constitution is the sovereign. In order for this to NOT be a coup, the Constitution must be obeyed. These people do NOT honor the Constitution. They are attempting to overthrow it. Before this plays out to its final conclusion, if these people are successful, the Constitution will be nothing but a piece of paper.

Everyone who serves under the Constitution must swear an oath to it. That's what makes it the sovereign. The Constitution has a preamble that begins with "We The People". The people responsible for this coup do NOT honor elections, even though they go to great lengths to pretend that they do. This latest circus is getting more and more intense, because the deception must be more and more intense in order to pull off the coup.

This coup isn't about "rule of law" or about Democracy. It is about the clique who are attempting to destroy those very things. It is Orwellian doublethink. Totalitarianism is freedom. Lies are truth. All of what these plotters and usurpers say is a massive lie. The public cannot be fooled into giving up its freedom unless the same public participates in the deception.

7/20/24:

Well, this is a name from the past, eh?!

Circus indeed. Just read that the email hack story was false, or at the very least, that Crowdstrike couldn't prove it. But there's really no need to get knee deep into this bull-poo... If you've got them figured, then this is clearly some sort of diversion for something else.

9/22/21: Update:

Technofog mentions Crowdstrike in connection to the indictment of Sussman.

There are several posts about Crowdstrike on this blog.  I chose this one to update in connection to what Technofog is writing about.

There is other stuff out there that Bongino mentioned yesterday.

The original post of Feb 2019 follows

Comment

If you look at this as a concept, and as a principle, the concept is that everything is a circus.  The principle is constant and unrelenting falsehood...

First principles always...  The first thing to remember is that---- the only crime that anybody has cited in relation to an actual collusion case with Russia with respect to the 2016 election---was an alleged hack into the emails of the DNC.

The only confirmation of this is from an organization hired by the DNC, "Crowdstrike" I believe the name was, that is in effect an employee of the DNC.

This is like claiming a break in at your residence, and you're hiring a private investigator to confirm what you claim, and expecting the police to stand down on any investigation of your premises.  Yes, that much, and more... The police takes the PI's word for it in toto....

What kind of police department would accept that as evidence or as probable cause?  At best there is probable cause for investigating the premises, but that is it.  Unless that investigation of the crime scene takes place, then there should be no further investigation, because there is no probable cause.

Everybody seems to avoid this fundamental principle, which suggests to me unrelenting falsehood.  The unrelenting falsehood is driving the concept of these circuses, which are to distract and confuse the population.

Illegal Immigration, wrt prospective SCOTUS wargaming

Will Trump's executive order ending anchor babies hold up in court?

An aside here. I'm no legal beagle, or eagle, or anything for that matter. Just a guy with opinions.

My opinion is this: If they're here illegally, then the baby isn't legal either. This doesn't mean the SCOTUS will rule that way. My guess is that the SCOTUS is wishy-washy at times, and this may be another one of those times.

High Noon "It's all for nothing"

1/21/25:

This post has a familiar ring to it, so I'm re-posting this response to the Insty post.

Do people actually give a rat's rear end? If they did, maybe this kind of stuff wouldn't happen. Even when their neighborhood burns down, do they care? I wonder about that. I really do.

Quick update: People reading this may not understand what the hell I'm referring to. The insty post was about how the previous administration and the Democrats suppressed the truth about Biden's condition. That's why I wrote that they didn't give a flip. Even if that meant that they were endangering themselves as well as everyone else. They just didn't care, and they said just as much themselves.

9/30/24:

I can see both sides of this argument as the drama unfolded.

It seems like these days with the election and all, there really be a lot of people who won't do anything because they just don't care.

Then there's the guy who is standing alone against the bad guys, and nobody wants to help.

I tell you I can see both sides of this.

So what about today? Do people really give a shit? Maybe not. It sure seems that way a lot more often that you'd like to believe. I'd like to believe the way John Wayne depicted in his movie "The Alamo". The part where he gave the Flaca speech was his own viewpoint put into cinema. John Wayne thought that "High Noon" was un-American. He wanted to believe that people had some good in them.

If people let bad shit happen, then how good can they be? People could have stopped Hitler before he plunged the world into World War II, but did nothing. Maybe they were lying the same way they lie now. Or was it something similar to this movie? They just don't give a shit.

Blanket pardons

This is a bit worrisome to me. Sure, I can see it with the J6th people. There may be a few who shouldn't get one, but by and large, this was a set up. The charges were trumped up ( no pun intended ) in order to make it all seem far worse than it really was. Not to mention that the J6'ers were classified more or less as traitors, which was unjust to an extreme.

A long process in order to truly and fairly determine guilt was simply not reasonable. This has already been 4 years, and the party in charge doesn't want to fully and fairly explore what really happened on that day. It's probably because it wouldn't help the narrative that they tried to sell. I'd say that they were unsuccessful in their sales job for their narrative. It is therefore, mostly a pointless exercise to do that now, except for the part in what has up to this point BEEN HIDDEN.

Democrats are hoping to sell themselves as victims ( or probable victims ) of Trump. Biden's blanket pardons will shield them from any legal consequences for their behavior, but the sob story as victims is a bit too much, even for them. They are definitely not victims here. They weren't potential victims. They are definitely suspects in major crimes, and the whole point of these blanket pardons was to sheild them from the proper and just application of the laws.

Of course, the tit-for-tat nature of these pardons may enable the Democrats to claim some sort of equivalence here.

Moreover, we now have the precedence set for more of these in the future. It is almost as if a bad actor can take over and toss the law aside and do whatever comes to mind without regard for consequences. This is dangerous. We're drifting into a danger zone here. I sure hope these people in charge understand that, but since almost half of them are Democrats, I'm not too sure that they give a flip.

The Dems are worried about Trump's "vengeance", or so they say. Two things: 1) It will be extremely hard to get a conviction of a Democrat in DC, and 2) the Dems are liars. If they say they're worried, then they're lying. But they always lie, so what's new about that?

But that doesn't mean the new/old Prez shouldn't try to get as many convictions as possible. Why? The OJ Simpson trial destroyed his marketability. Even though OJ was acquitted, he wasn't viewed as being innocent. He became unmarketable afterwards. No more Hertz commercials. No more appearances at NFL games. The Democrats should have been honest. Honesty really is the best policy, but for the Democrats, honesty is like Holy Water to the Devil.

The Democrats are going to sell themselves as victims of Trump. It remains to be seen if that will work. As one wag once said, never overestimate the intelligence of the American people. If it weren't for the gullibility of the public, the Democrats would go out of business.

10:15 AM

Oopsie! Biden went done a great big pardon-a-rama, and gave almost all of DC a pardon. Well, blimey! Now it will be just about impossible to get a conviction of the whole crew at all. Maybe they really were afraid! In DC?! Yup, even in DC. Or so it looks.

Strange movie

Replicas (2017) trailer

Keanu Reeves has played in the most unusual flicks. I was reminded of that after watching this on Tubi recently. And again, as I saw another of his movies in the waiting room just the other night. The other night, the movie playing with the sound down low was one of his John Wick flicks. I'd never seen those flicks before, so as I watched, I was rather flabbergasted by the inordinate amount of violence. Also, the scenes in that movie were rather bizarre. I noted that Reeves is in a lot of such movies.

Anyway, the idea behind Replicas is rather strange because it revolves around the matter of what life actually is. This is hard to wrap you mind around. The flick wasn't particularly well-received. I can see why. It is hard to watch.

ERA? No way

12:00 PM:

What is the actual text of the document that Biden claims in now part of the Constitution?

How can the ERA Amendment be a part of the Constitution when part of it is already violated if it is treated as if it were law?  Since has taken over 7 years to get the states' ratification, then it violates itself. If Congress alters it after the fact, then it has to re-voted upon. It hasn't.  So what version of the amendment gets included in the Constitution?  Clearly not the one that many of the states voted upon before.

3:26 PM:

Wait a minute. I re-read that Wikipedia entry. The article's text was submitted along with a resolution, whose term length was seven years. It has been lengthened, but some states rescinded their approval. The point may still hold, as the resolution was part of the process. If the process of ratification was deemed to be seven years, then it should be included with the text of the amendment itself. I believe some amendments to the Constitution included that time-limited text in the amendment language.

There's a reason for putting a time limit on it. Otherwise, why have one in the resolution accompanying the amendment itself? If the idea is to get tricky, so as to get initial approval, and then moving the goalposts in order to overcome opposition, should that be allowed?

In any case, the time limits have expired. Now they want to make the time limits go away so that they can claim ratification. If the Congress can change the goal posts, then the states can rescind their approval. Still, no dice on the ERA.

The Gavin shoulder shimmy--- wtf
