It is almost if nobody in DC can be held accountable for corruption.
The question arises as to how this FISA warrant gets approved if it isn't corruption. Not only in the DOJ, but in the court itself.
If a corrupt judge cannot be prosecuted, then why not remove him/her?
You shouldn't have to tolerate obvious corruption from public officials.

Something is definitely rotten in Denmark
Why this is a big deal, as it now gets into other departments of the government. This could end up involving the Judiciary. I thought as much in an earlier post.
A money quote here from the NRO article, upon which this assertion is based:
It should be noted here, as it might be forgotten, that the surveillance on Page was renewed until June of 2017. The independent counsel, Mueller was hired just previously, in May. Could it be that they needed an independent counsel because the surveillance was going nowhere? Also, Rosenstein recommended that Trump fire Comey, as you may recall. Rosenstein signed off one at least one of the 90 day surveillance periods. Now, where's Rosenstein on this? Did he set up Trump so that he could name an independent counsel?

...there is abundant reason why a judge should explain his or her rationale for granting the warrant..

Why can't journalists be sued?
Update:
2.10.19:
9:00 :
Could Senator Mark Warner be tied to this fake Russian dossier story? If he was, you'd never hear about it in the liberal media.
8:00 :
Seems that Mark Warner is using an encrypted app to send messages to a Russian oligarch. Now, the question is this: are we going to hear about Mark Warner forever and ever, as we have with Trump?
Don't bet on it. Liberal media outlets won't run that story. Fox did, but Fox is supposedly not liberal.
7: 00 :
Mollie Hemmingway writes about the contrast in how the so-called Russian collusion is reported. Now that the collusion narrative is falling apart, the media buries the stories.
Isn't this a sign of malice? If you report only one side of the story, isn't that evidence of an intent to do harm?
This should be litigated. I'd even say it should be litigated aggressively. At least as aggressive as the reporting has been towards Trump. Bring in the government, too.
2.9.19:
I posed that question in an online search, and the answer from Quora is:
Seems like I have heard that before.
Would it be impossible then, to prove malice with regard to political reporting? It seems that most political reporting these days is malicious indeed. It is truly cut-throat, as there are people, like Donald Trump, who could actually be charged with a crime. If the stories run against him are not truly substantiated, and meant to cause harm; and if it actually does, then why can't Trump sue for damages? Indeed, why can't anybody sue?
If there is anything guiding the reporting these days, I would definitely say that malice has to be a part of the motivation for what gets put out there.

Cornyn gets a lot of bad reviews in conservative circles, and deserves it
Those who have read this blog ( if anyone does ), may well remember my dislike for Cornball Cornyn.
Happy to see that my stuff gets validated a lot. Unfortunately, my views are in the minority.
The majority listens to the corrupted news media, and has no chance of understanding what is going on in this country.

Update:
2.9.18:
The numbers don't add up to 100%, or so I have read. At this writing, I have not looked more closely at this, so I'm not sure what to make of it now.
Polls are not to be trusted anymore, anyway.
The original post of 2.8.18, follows:
This is cited as "good news". If you were to flip it around, the numbers would not favor the GOP. In other words, if the GOP was on defense, they'd be in a lot of trouble right now. But the Dems are not in trouble, if I read this poll accurately.
Putting it another way, getting only 50% is not that good. It should be higher. Much higher.
I attribute it to blind loyalty to party politics. Having the Democrat infested media in blackout mode on any news regarding this Memo probably helps.

Collusion between Never Trumpers and Media?
In order to keep alive this Russian collusion nonsense?
Former POTUS Bush claims that clear evidence exists of Russian meddling in the election. Okay, where is that evidence?
About the same time Bush is saying this, an old story resurfaces about Russian election meddling. It is old news, and it is quite disputed at the time. Even debunked, if I am not mistaken.
Even worse than this, Secretary of State Tillerson is claiming Russian is trying to meddle in 2018 elections.
If there was an credible evidence of any such sort, I would be screaming bloody murder. Instead, there's this crap.
Heap big bad medicine kemosabe. Wake up and smell the rotten eggs, ya'll. This is big trouble. The release of the Nunes memo should have resulted in something big, given all the hype surrounding it. Now it is virtually being ignored, but this other bravo sierra gets as much press or MORE.

It's Groundhog Day
Update:
I looked up these Cody Shearer and Sidney Blumenthal characters. When I looked up the McCain connection to all this, I found this NY Post article, where McCain admits passing along this dossier to the FBI. The NY Post article basically fills in the story that we have been hearing lately: somebody gave the info to the MI6 guy, who gave it to McCain, who gave it to Comey.
Now we know that this dossier was used to obtain an FISA warrant, which forms the basis of the FBI investigation of Trump. We also have found out who paid for this, it was a Clinton operation.
We also know that Comey leaked info so that there would be a special prosecutor named. Comey has had connections to the Clintons before.
But we all knew this, so that is how this is like Groundhog Day. It just goes around and around in circles.
Once the circle is broken, Groundhog day may finally come to an end. Somebody needs to go to jail.

Coulter makes it off the fecal roster
After ragging on Judge Moore, she is back on track. At least for the moment.
To be concise as possible, the thing that she wrote recently that is worthwhile to mention is that the establishment pretty much gave us Carter Page and maybe even Papadopoulos. Without these two, where would they be with this cockamamie story of theirs?
Maybe about where they are now, except that they would have had to come up with another excuse to spy on Trump.
So, not only have the establishment created this nonsense out of the clear blue sky, they created the conditions upon which they could make it look like a legitimate investigation. ( And waste the taxpayer's money, and attempt to overthrow the will of the people while they are at it. )
I mention it because I had forgotten. Carter Page and "Pappa doc" are not on the who's who of foreign policy experts. All the "experts" were boycotting the Donald, you see. Yup, I forgot. My bad.

Falcon Heavy Launch
I watched it live yesterday. Didn't post about it, though. The landing of the two boosters was as impressive as the launch itself. I was struck at how quickly the rocket moved up and away. It seemed to be moving faster than what I was accustomed to seeing on rocket launches. Perhaps it is just my imagination.
They lost the center core. It crashed into the ocean a short distance from the drone ship. The drone ship was damaged slightly, or so I read. The payload was successfully put on a interplanetary course, but the course was somewhat overshot, or so I read. It will nearly make it to the asteroid belt.
Other than these two less than perfect outcomes, it was a good launch. The launch itself appeared flawless.
Elon Musk wants to move on from this rocket. It seems odd that he would say things that were less than confident about this Falcon Heavy design, yet the proposed BFR rocket is based upon the same ideas. Why not prove the concept with as many launches as necessary so as to gain confidence in it?
Maybe he is pushing the BFR too hard and too fast.

Flynn statement of offense in so-called collusion case
This is the second of the two "convictions" obtained by the Mueller gang.
Yes, I am going to use less than flattering descriptions of these people. You don't need the damned Nunes memos in order to see that this "conviction" is a pile of excrement.
The Nunes memos were for the people at large, who are constantly being misled about the facts of this case, which is a fraudulent case from the get go, as I have indicated the day that Rosenstein hired this Mueller clown. The people need to be better informed, which they can never be, due to the fact that the media is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democrat party.
The admission of false statements that Flynn allegedly made, which were supposed to be about the alleged tampered election ( according to the court document of Flynn's "conviction" ) were about events that were not even related to the election at all. The false statements were said to have been made in the transition period after the election.
The incoming administration has to be able to assume its duties. Nothing that Flynn did was illegal, mind you. However, there could be a way in which the information obtained against him was definitely not on the up and up.
Another problem I have with the document is this: how did they come about the information that they had in which they could claim that Flynn lied???? Was it a result of that fraudulent FISA warrant, or is there some other explanation? There could be some deep excrement going on here.
Under no circumstances should Trump speak with Mueller. This document shows that any "voluntary" discussion with him will only result in a twisted outcome, in which Trump will said to have been lying or obstructing justice.
Trump doesn't owe Mueller a damned thing, and Mueller ought to be fired. Same with Rosenstein. However, if Trump doesn't fire these clowns, he sure as hell shouldn't be talking to them.

Star Scientific Australian Process To Develop Nuclear Fusion
Star Scientific Australian Process To Develop Nuclear Fusion: Star Scientific claims a unique process to cheaply, plentifully manufacture muons to achieve nuclear fusion at low temperatures on forty years of research.
comment:
They are researching a way to utilize muon-catalyzed fusion. Don't see anything that indicates a new development, though.
Update:
2.6.18:
12:55 pm:
Table top atom smashers have been built before. Well, maybe it isn't impossible after all.
7:00 am:
Muons have a long history in physics, relatively speaking. Consequently, knowledge of these particles isn't new. In fact, it appears that they have been used, or thought of as a possibility of being used for sophisticated purposes. The idea of using them for rocket propulsion has not turned up in my peregrinations through the web.
It may take a very large magnet to manipulate these things, plus you need an atom smasher in order to make them. That would seem to eliminate this as a possibility for rocket propulsion. Too much mass.

Seems plausible to me. She is the reason Bill Clinton got impeached. If she would have allowed a settlement out of court for Paula Jones, nobody would have heard of Monica Lewinski. It might well have been enough for Gore to be elected POTUS.
Hillary is the albatross around the Dems neck. Maybe they will figure it out, and start acting a little less insane.

Dems response to Nunes' memo
Update:
2.5.18:
After reading the statement of offense regarding Papadopoulos' false statements charge, it doesn't appear to be significant in terms of what it means with regard to any case against Trump.
Much is made of the emails, but there is no specification of what was in the emails nor their source. Only that it was "dirt" on Clinton. This appears to be no better than hearsay, as Papadopoulos would not have had any first hand knowledge of what the emails were about.
Since Clinton was being investigated herself on her emails, it just as well could have been those.
The statements that Papadopoulos were made that got him into trouble were regarding times certain events took place. There does not appear to be any evidence of any grievous harm that his conversations were doing.
If Papadopoulos is guilty of anything, it is probably incompetence. He is more an embarrassment than a threat to national security.
Sheesh.
The original post of 2.4.18 follows:
The source document is here. It looks like they want to go back over the email hacking that they claimed Russia did. This has been debunked by the experts. The whole case is all about Papadopoulos and Carter Page, which amounts to goose egg. Carter Page is just a prop for their narrative. The Dems only went after Page because of his connections to the Trump campaign, as with Papadopoulos. There is nothing that shows probable cause that Page was a foreign agent, or wouldn't he have been charged? They've been tracking him for years. Why haven't they found anything by this time?

Crazy as bedbugs
Andy Rooney-- remember him? He got into some hot water when he said Mel Gibson was crazy as a bedbug. Rooney "claimed" that God told him that. This was in reference to the Gibson's film Passion of the Christ, which Rooney was mocking. That is what drew the ire of many.
Anyhow, it reminds me of this scene in another of Gibson's movies --- Braveheart, in which Stephen talks to God. He is called a "madman", to which Stephen responds that he came to the right place.
In the same movie, Gibson's portrayal of William Wallace, Wallace "sees" his father and his murdered wife.
It struck me that some religious folks, like Pat Robertson, claim that they talk with God. Do they really do that, or are they crazy?
If I talked with God, what would I ask for ? For liberals to stop acting so crazy? Too much to ask, I suppose. God can give just so many miracles.
