2/8/26; Update:
A couple times for short periods in the last decade; I've tried this with some success. But it didn't hold up because I went back to the bad old ways. Sure enough, the weight came back.
But this time, not only did the weight come back, but my A1c also went up to pre-diabetic levels. Uh-oh!
When I was following the keto regime a few years back, my blood glucose and A1c was in good shape. So, it is rather obvious that I can no longer get away with indulging my sweet tooth.
I've been back on keto for the last few months, and my weight is coming down. On the last blood test, the a1c hadn't come down yet. But I wasn't on full keto yet. The weight loss is accelerating. I must have lost over 10 lbs since I began losing weight.
I'm hoping the blood glucose and a1c will come down on the next test. When will that be? Maybe in a few weeks, we can test it again. Anyway, I will post on this at that time.
I've tried keto before. It works for awhile, then I reach a plateau before falling off the wagon.
A sweet tooth doesn't help. She says even if you don't eat sugar, the body will react as if you had. That means a sweet tasting snack that may seem harmless, won't be. Damn! No more keto ice cream!
