What's wrong with this picture?

8/17/26:

The original post never gave an answer, and now the link doesn't work. So I quizzed AI on this pressing issue... (I don't like teasing people-- hmm is that really true?)

Anyway, at the following page, a question is asked about the Mona Lisa pic, which is what is wrong with the picture.. A link is provided, but the link no longer works. My question is what is wrong with the picture shown at this page: https://greg-bno.blogspot.com/2011/07/whats-wrong-with-this-picture.html. The link involved on that web page is https://royalynet.com/

Answer:

Based on the content of the page you provided, the original post from July 7, 2011, doesn't actually include or link to the Mona Lisa picture itself—it only says the answer is at a link that no longer works. The linked page () has since been repurposed and now contains spam content about online gambling ("BOS88"), which is entirely unrelated to the original question.

So I cannot tell you definitively what was wrong with the picture, because:

1. The original image is not preserved on the blog page. The post text says "click me to answer the question" and notes the hint "the eyes have it," but the actual image isn't embedded in the archived text you shared.

2. The answer link is dead. The link it pointed to no longer works, so the intended answer page is gone.

3. The current content of royalynet.com is irrelevant — it's been taken over by SEO spam for gambling and contains no trace of the old content.

That said, the hint "the eyes have it" gives a strong clue. There are several well-known "wrong with the Mona Lisa" image puzzles where the eyes are doctored—for example:

- The eyes are made to not look directly at the viewer (contradicting the famous "Mona Lisa effect" where her gaze seems to follow you).

- The eyes are swapped or replicated from another part of the image.

- The pupils are pointed in different directions (crossed or divergent gaze).

- The irises are oddly sized or placed.

Given the hint, the almost certain answer is that in the picture, Mona Lisa's eyes were altered—most likely so they no longer gaze directly at the viewer, which is the hallmark of the original painting.

If you can find the original image (e.g., via the Wayback Machine of the original blog post), that would confirm the exact visual alteration. But based on the available evidence, "the eyes have it" points to a deliberate modification of her gaze.

So now you know.  Aren't you glad?  I know I am.

7/7/11: The original post:

You will have to go there to find out.  Hint: the eyes have it.

Cloning dogs now?

Yep, and it's being done for profit too. You can clone your pet, as former NFL star QB Tom Brady did. The story doesn't say how that's working out for Brady, though. Maybe the dog is just like his original dog, or maybe not. It doesn't say. The process is simple, just need to take a blood sample.

Not exactly George Jetson's ride

Behind the Black has a post about this gizmo. Seems like you see something like this every now and then. The thing is, there's always been something like this around, but hasn't ever caught on. Check out the James Bond flick "Thunderball".

Baby Born from 30-Year-Old Frozen Embryo

If you can preserve embryos, why not people? To put someone in cryo-freeze would enable long-term spaceflight. But I suppose there would be objections. Always is.

New term I hadn't seen before

"Enshittification"

The defintion? You have to go on websites that have enshittified, which means there's a problem there. If you've guessed at the meaning of the term, then no explanation is necessary. Indeed, I think our country is being enshittified. I hope Trump is deshitifying it, but you never know. The capacity for enshittification seems limitless.

I'm serious here. I never heard of the word before. For those who haven't, this is a serious post. No joke. Not really, anyway.

Supercomputer can mimic a mouse brain

A human's brain is a long way off yet.

But they can still play a mean game of chess.

I don't think a mouse can beat me at chess, but I never tried it.

It did a perfect bank job, but was ratted out.  Tough luck.

1963 1/2 Galaxie restoration project

Here's number one with one of his projects.  He has been working on this in his spare time for most of this year.  When he got it, it was ready for the scrap heap.  It was rusted out down below, which required a lot of metal work.  He also did the body and painting.  The interior will be redone also.  When he finishes it, it will be a nice car.

He is starting it up here for the first time since he rebuilt the engine.

I asked how long since this thing had a running engine in it, and he pointed to the bumper.  That gave me the idea to do this video.

Woman gets life in prison for murder of husband

The star witness appears to have been a parrot.

The parrot was reported to have said:  "Don't f----ing shoot" , in the husband's voice.  The parrot belonged to the dead man.

This must break new ground in criminal justice.  If all of this is true, then animals can testify in court.

Question:  Can a bird lie?  If it does, can it be put in jail for perjury?

Man in the sky

A kid flying on a plane took this picture.  It has found itself in the news.

Well, you can speculate on what this really is, but it is obviously in the shape of a man.  In the clouds.

Update (s) 5:25, 5.19.17

What it could be:  one of two things
  1. a hoax
  2. a miracle

It cannot be a natural occurring event appearing at random, because the odds of such an event probably cannot be calculated.

Test tube meatball

Said to be as good as the real thing...

Clean meatball?  Who'd want to eat a dirty one?  But test tube meatballs are weird, no?

Brain transplant, anyone?

Just saw an article on NextBigFuture that was about a head transplant on a monkey.  If it is successful, there will be an attempt on a human next year.

Hello!

Isn't that weird?  But that leaves a Frankenstein type of zipper neck that is most unsightly.  Perhaps it would be better to take out the brain and install it into another body sans brain.  One of these days, one's own body could be duplicated, except the brain, and your own brain would be transplanted into your reconstituted body.  Hmm.  How would that work out?

You could go into surgery with an 80 year body, and come back out with a 20 year body.  The brain will still be old, but the body will be young.

No zipper necks either.  The hair can be regrown over the places where the skull had to opened up.

The whole thing seems kinda freaky though.

Be sure that "Eyegore" uses the right brain.

Jobs Report Is Phony: Only 11,000 Created  Dick Morris TV: Lunch Alert!

Comment:

David Stockman debunks claims of job growth, Morris reports.

The phony job report is consistent with the dishonesty that is running so rampant throughout the government and media.  In other words, the left wing is running the show, and now that they are, they must hide their incompetence, as it is an election year.

One fairy tale begets another

Claim: Climate Change Forced Bigfoot to Migrate to America.

comment:

After reading this, I think the lead is a bit misleading.  They aren't talking AGW, but just plain old natural climate change.  Plain old climate change is what melted the glaciers from the last Ice Age.  Humans couldn't have caused that.  The Industrial Revolution was thousands of years into the future.

They really weren't talking about the legendary Big Foot, either.  Big Foot doesn't exist, except in highly imaginative types, just like AGW doesn't exist, except in highly imaginative types ( as a manner of speaking).

Hillary is said to be going after UFOs.  Another misleading lead?  Anything to get attention.,

Man with bionic penis set to "take her for a spin"

Or something like that.  You have to wonder about this.  The man lost his "schlong" when he was but a boy.  Now, he has gotten a new one, so to speak, and is eager to try her or "it" out.  "Her" meaning a sex worker, who has agreed to "work pro bono" so to speak.

I mean, how does he know when he has, er, gotten off?  If it works really well, can I get one?  Might be better than a blue pill.

800 lb gator trapped near Houston

Not exactly news, but it is news to me.

Eight hundred pounds is a freaky big alligator as far as I'm concerned.  That thang can eat you up.

There was a story that a Florida burglary suspect was attacked and eaten by a gator.  Seems like a saw that on a news blurb somewhere.

Sugarland is where this 800 pound monster was.  Sugarland might as well be in Houston, don't ya know.  It's not technically Houston, but it may as well be.

You might wanna be real careful about kids and pets.  That's a big gator, yessiree.

It's a surprise.  I remember when somebody found some baby gators back in the seventies.  That's a long time ago and it was weird even then.  Frankly, I don't know how that thing got all the way to Houston without being discovered.  There's only five million people in this region.  They're saying that it wandered into the area because it was mostly blind.
