According to the text of the measure, the state would be required to create a 20-member state commission to study California’s viability as an independent country in 2027 and to publish a report the following year.

It seems innocent enough for now. Of course you can study it. You might want to study a little history while you're at it.

Let's be frank. Democrats want to run things as communists. Republicans aren't too sure that they want to oppose this. A bunch of them ( aka RINOS ) want to join the commies, and impose a "dictatorship of the proletariat" upon us all.

The trouble with Marxism is that the state doesn't wither away in commie-lands. That's what Marxism claims to do when they achieve their uptopan dreams, but the dreams become a nightmare. And the nightmare doesn't ever seem to end without bloodshed.

The problem with secession is where do you draw the lines? If everybody secedes from each other, you won't have anything left. Texans were thinking about this, and some Republicans seem enamored of the idea, but I'm not. I did not support it then, nor now.
