Fuera de serie

9/8/26:

Once upon a time, I had a Latino friend who offered to teach me Spanish if I would teach him English. I declined, as I felt that we'd be correcting each other so much that we couldn't say anything at all in our conversations. Eventually he became fluent in English. Not necessarily from what I said to him, but I like to think I helped him a little, at least.

The last time I talked to him was on the phone. That would've been impossible when I first met him. So he had come a long, long way.

That's okay. I'm not in Mexico. By the way, he wasn't from Mexico. He is from El Salvador. He didn't seem to like Mexicans, for some reason.

Seems like I remember that show that was in Spanish.  I watched it to try to learn some Spanish, but gave up on the project.  I think the words meant "out and about".  But Google translate doesn't render it that way.  Google renders it "off the charts."  And the phrase "out and about" is rendered in Spanish as "fuera y sobre."

I'm "out and about", senores, whatever the hell the way is to say it.  Posting will be lighter, amigos.
