8/10/26:

The more things change, the more they stay the same. I found a lot of "errors" in the game, but later turned out to be something that slipped by me.

The new version I bought recently is like that. I've found a couple things that were really on me, and not the game.

How much of this was engineered the way it is so that it wouldn't be too easy?

Still, I think some better explanations would have been helpful. Not only true with Construction Simulator 3, which is what this video refers to, but also the newer version. (What's its name?, I didn't get one, and it doesn't appear to be listed on the screen! ) See what I mean?

I like this game. However, it receives lower ratings than it should.

This video discusses a problem that I never solved with this game. I'm sure many folks encounter the same problem and give the game lower ratings than what it would have otherwise. That's too bad.

8/1/26:

Right after I wrote that I was getting the hang of it, I encountered a problem with this new version of the Construction Simulator.

The reason that I got stuck was so simple that it just blows my mind. I think that they may lose customers because of things like this.

The thing that I got stuck on was how to enter a building. This seems like it should be simple, and it is. But there's a little twist. In this version, you player can get out of a vehicle and walk around. All it takes to get in and out is to press a button. You'd think that it took only that in order to enter a building too, but no. You have to press the button for several seconds, and then you can enter the building. So simple, but it was enough for me to get stuck on it for a significant period of time. There are no hints to solve that problem. It seems that you have to figure it out for yourself. Same thing with the older version of the simulator. Just because it is a new version, that doesn't mean that there aren't little things like this that can trip you up.

Maybe I ought to have better things to do than this, but that's all there is.

7/26/26:

The more things change, the more they stay the same. It's been awhle since I fired up the old Xbox (bought in 2020). The Truck Driver simulator is missing, but the Construction Simulator is still there. But I've run that through so many times that it is a bore, so I actually bought a newer version of it.

It seemed to be bewildering at first, but that's how the other version was too. So I stuck with it for awhile and got the hang of it. It may turn out to be easier to use than the old version. One thing is certain already. It isn't the same game.

4/20/21:

For those who are wondering why I waste time on this, well the answer is that nothing else out there is interesting enough for me. So why not do this?

Look, we've beaten the absolute hell out of the conservative issues. People won't listen. I don't know about anybody else, but beating my head against a wall doesn't interest me. If they won't listen, then I am going elsewhere.

No, I'm not giving up. But when I find something that I want to comment upon, then I'll do it. But I won't join the "woe is me" crowd. Sure, things are bad. But when people get in the mood to listen, you may have better luck than right now.

This video is a continuation of what I posted yesterday. I wasn't satisfied with what I did. Maybe this will explain the issue with the Construction Simulator 3 on Xbox.

The term "Twilight Zone" was used in this post (before updating). Perhaps I wasn't clear what the term was supposed to mean. It may have helped if I was more familiar with the TV show from what back then. Maybe it was on the TV when I was little, but I just don't remember it much. What does Twilight Zone mean to me? In a word, "weird". It had that weird music that introduced it. Rod Serling would give his speech. Actually the speech may have come afterward. Either way, it just seemed weird. That's what I meant. It was "weird".

The re-runs are on Tubi, and I watched a few episodes. What seemed weird before does not seem so weird now. It helps to be more familar with the words one uses. After watching a few of these episodes, I don't think I would've used the term "Twilight Zone" this way. Just thought I would mention that. Over and out.

Did my doctor's visit. My fears were a bit overblown. There's something that needs to be handled, but it is manageable. That's all I got on this. Posting will resume. As Roseann Rosanna Dana would say: "Never mind!"

Anyway, I am up at an hour in which I am usually asleep. I checked the news (big mistake?), and discover that there was a shooting at the event that POTUS was attending. Another assassination attempt.

A doctor's visit has been scheduled, so there's that.

Since I mentioned the incident at an event in DC? ( apparent assassination attempt), I'll add this to this update. Here's something that's going around apparently. (False Flag accusation.)

Microsoft sucks

5/4/26:

In the process of an upgrade. More geeking out, as I've moved on to a new Raspberry Pi machine. I've paired it with a tiny screen, though. It is only 7.1 inch diagonal, and reading it is not easy.

The change was made because there was a blank screen from the older machine. For some reason, the monitor would no longer display. It was acting like there was a loose connection somewhere, so I just got a new machine. More than one reason for a new machine. The old one was a minimalist system. This one has more memory, and therefore more power. We'll see.

It turns out that the old machine still works. There's also a tiny screen for it too. So now I have two Raspberry Pi machines.

All of this in order to get away from Microsoft.

Microsoft just bricked the machine in this video. He fixes the problem, and it tries to do it again! Avoid Microsoft...

A problem has arisen.

There may be some who would think that I am being too hasty in my judgement. Let me state what has happened. Then we'll go from there.

I have two computers. One of them is a netbook, the other is this one--a raspberry pi. Linux is preferred because Microsoft has gone rogue, as far as I'm concerned. They are WAY too nosy with their data collection. It's over the top, and so I switched to Linux in the last several months. Since that switch, I've had Linux go out on me three times. The first two times, I figured that it was Linux to blame, but this time, it HAS to be Microsoft.

The bios was messed with. Who could do that but Microsoft? Microsoft shares the netbook with Linux. Linux isn't on the main drive, though. However, when you boot up, some of the boot code is accessible to Microsoft. Well, the bios won't load up the Linux now, and redirects you back to Microsoft.

Could some hacker do this? Maybe. What makes me suspicious in this case is something I saw on a YouTube that says Microsoft tries to bump off any Linux installations if there are operating on the same machine. When I saw this, I realized that somehow the netbook allows the possibility of interference by our good, good friends--Microsoft. Anybody, all three failures could very well have been Microsoft refusing to play nice with Linux.

If Microsoft is innocent here, then it was hackers. But why would hacker direct me back to Microsoft? Only if the hacker is with Microsoft, and Microsoft is actually the hacker. Or they paying hackers to sabotage Linux installations.

At this point, the damage is minimal. I don't know how to recover from this, but I might be able to. Not sure what I need to do though. It is a pain in the ass.

The Big Tech companies, like Microsoft, are out of control. They need to be reined in. This ought to be an anti-trust issue right here. They got no business interfering with people's computers. They don't own this damned machine. They didn't give it to me. It isn't their property. I'M NOT THEIR PROPERTY EITHER.

The first I heard of it was way back in the early eighties, if memory serves. There was a guy today on the internet who was claiming the Shroud is a fake.

One could argue the point, I suppose. If I were to argue, it would be along the lines that nobody knows how such an object could have come into being. You can claim it is a fraud based upon certain tests, but how do you explain its very existence?

The technology to reproduce the relic still doesn't exist, if I am not mistaken. Once that is figured out, maybe there would be a cause for claiming fraud. Or there wouldn't be. The next question is if you reproduce it today, how did somebody in the middle ages fake this, and why?

Find an answer for that one.

Just fooling around with the HTML, and especially the CSS. For those not familiar with the lingo, CSS means cascading style sheets. But there's no style sheets here, just a snippet of code embedded within a webpage that already has significant amounts devoted to CSS.

In other words, I may be trying to "beat the system" with a system of my own for doing posts. Call it a custom post, in lieu of a better way of putting it. Since it is an experiment, try not to take it too seriously. It may not view very well on cell phones and such. I'm thinking the scroll bars might help with that, though.

The thought occurred to me that the Democrats cannot do a better job of promoting Trump than what they are doing.

Trump announces Cease-fire in the Iran-Israel war. Our part in it was supposed to cause another trillion dollar boondoggle of nation building. But that hasn't happened, and won't happen. The hobgoblin is the non-stop opposition to anything that makes sense, especially if it is promoted by the Orange Man Bad.

The end of the nuclear missile ambitions of the ayatollas seems like a no-brainer. Why would anybody oppose that? But there are those who will oppose it on the basis of some sort of "principle" which has no evidence in reality. I'm writing this poorly, and words are failing me lately. Basically, the left is opposing Trump just to be opposing him. Fellow GOP'ers are joining in on some notion that this military operation is a bad thing, which does not make a whole lot of sense once you consider the benefits. I suppose the idea is that we all must suffer a lot of nonsense in order to be good people. Balderdash!

Seems like there is this quote out there that says something to the effect that a "foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds." That correlates into the latest blurb I've seen on the web about the big miss on the employment report. The blurb said that the White House thinks that this is evidence of not enough spending.

That is enough to gobsmack Godzilla. Not enough spending?! Yeah, it qualifies as a real live hobgoblin. If these small minded people think that there's not enough spending, then who or what can say otherwise?

Fact, evidence, reason are all going out the window. Full blown insanity has taken over. The big question is this: how long are they going to be allowed to do this before somebody puts their foot down?

If the Liz Cheney types want to let go on this way, there may not be anything left before the sanity resumes.

The significance of the Starship

Version 3 of Starship will put 200 tons in orbit. Sea Dragon was touted to be able to put over 500 tons into orbit. It would appear that Starship has some room to grow.

12 meter Starships? How about 18 meter Starships? At that size, the capacity may rival the Sea Dragon.

The devil is in the details. How to build and service this behemoth? Perhaps the clue is in the purchase of offshore platforms. This has been reversed supposedly, but it could be seen again. Indeed, the kind of infrastructure needed for a really huge spacecraft like Sea Dragon may require an offshore facility.

One would have to think really big in order to do really big things. Something tells me that small ball may be the way things go. Using a go- big or go-home type challenge requires a people big enough to do big things. Are we a big time country anymore? It may not be anymore.

The discussion of Sea Dragon comes to mind once again, as it is mentioned in the above Reddit thread. There's an advantage to using really big rockets. It has a better mass to useful cargo ratio as it scales up. In other words, bigger is better. The best would be as big as you can make it.

My criticism of Sea Dragon involved making it a single engine monster. This monster will need a lot of powerful engines to get it off the ground. That sucker will be so big that it may need a special location away from all other people. I'm thinking an offshore platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

A twelve meter wide Starship may not even be the biggest possible size. Eventually you may be able to put as much as the Sea Dragon was claiming to be able to do. Maybe even more. If so, and if you can make it rapidly reusable with fast turnarounds, then you can make some really massive off-world construction projects. I'm thinking O'Neil colonies.

The stuff of science fiction that may make it into science fact. Or science fantasy. We'll see.

4/22/2023: Starship update #6

There's a tweet from Musk that says he has a plan in the works already, and will be ready to launch in one or two months. That seems like "Elon time". It may take a bit longer than he anticipates. The FAA is required to do an investigation, and the government doesn't move quite so fast.

It will be awhile, I suspect.

Meanwhile, what else to say about it? In terms of his architecture to get to the Moon and Mars, I think it's flawed. In particular with respect to the Moon. There are going to be many refueling trips from the ground to the the Starship lunar version while it is in low Earth orbit ( LEO). Why so many? For a rocket with twice the thrust of the Saturn V, why do you need so many refueling trips?

The Saturn V system shed mass as it went along. The less mass you carry around with you, the less fuel you need to get to the next destination along the way. The Starship is carrying a LOT of mass with it. In order to get from LEO to Lunar Orbit, there will have to be a burn. Perhaps there is a better plan than that, but that is what the Saturn V used. There was a burn to get a lunar orbit, then it released a lunar module. The lunar module itself was divided into an upper module and lower one. The lower module powered it down to the surface, and the upper module got it back up in lunar orbit for the return trip. Each time, it shed something it no longer needed, and reduced the propellant mass needed for the next stage of the mission. That's how the Saturn V did it. But not the Starship. They will land the entire thing, and that's going to take a lot of propellant to speed it up and slow it down.

The lunar Starship is already going to be expendable. That means it is already going to be a different bird than the regular Starship. An optimized version could be designed that will get the job done with a lot fewer launches.

But Musk may have different plans. We'll see how those work. Unless the plan is a lot like the one that worked during the Apollo program, there may be a problem.

It looks like Elon Musk's latest invention will work. One part of it works, at least. The next parts are untested, but the belly flop maneuver will work. But it's not going to be enough.

In my opinion, it is one thing to land a mostly empty Starship on a prepared surface. It is quite another to land it on a place that you have never seen before, such as Mars or even the Moon.

The Starship has a really aggressive maneuver there with that belly flop. Perhaps that is the main reason that it failed so many times before it succeeded. You've got fuel to consider. The belly flop maneuver is on mostly EMPTY tanks. If you go to the Moon, and you want to come back ( I'd think), then you have to land with plenty of fuel still on board.

You'd also have to land on the unprepared surface. The Starship is tall. It can tip over easily. That would not be good if you are on Mars or the Moon.

The Starship's real significance lies not in that it can get to the Moon or Mars. It is in the fact that it can get to LEO cheaply. It is a first step, not a final step. There has to be many steps besides this one.

Maybe it can be modified to land on the Moon. That's a thought.

The way it was done during the Apollo Era was to shed weight as you go. Unneeded pieces that were discarded allowed for less mass that had to be brought back. Less mass can become quite dramatic, and the opposite is also true. Less mass means less fuel. It all translates into much less mass that has to be launched.

If you try to land that big thing on the Moon, you are going to need a LOT of fuel to get there and back. One refueling would probably not be enough. An empty Starship weighs about the same as the Space Shuttle. You need to think about that one.

Refueling has not been demonstrated in space yet. So there you are. It's a possibility if you can get to space cheaply. But the concept isn't completed yet. Lots more needs to be done.

If you can put a lot of stuff into space, you may be able to build an infrastructure up there. That would include the Moon and Mars. Also the places in between. The infrastructure is the next step. The Starship can get it there. That's the signficance.

Who is Jamie Raskin, and what kind of people elect him? Here's what Wikipedia had to say about Raskin.

He is a representative in suburban Washington DC, from what I gathered. Washington DC is heavily Democratic, with over 90% of the votes going to Democrats. Even during Ronald Reagan's 49 state landslide in 1984, Washington DC went with the Democrats.

He seems to have come from the so-called "elite" brand. This so-called elite brand seems fixated on what could be called victimology. What is that? According to this type of thinking, there are oppressors and the oppressed. Obviously, he connects to those that he considers victims.

In a period of US History that encompossed such injustices as slavery and Jim Crow, this was not such a bad thing. But the pendulum has swung so wildly that these people are becoming the new oppressors themselves. Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Union the "evil empire". That's because the communists are a group of people that do not share the Judeo-Christian ethical system. Indeed, the communists persecute people of faith. It would seem that these people are pursuing the notion that this Judeo-Christian ethic is oppressive. If so, to whom? The communists themselves?

A study of history would disprove the claim of Christian oppression. People of faith led the fight against slavery. People of faith are the conscience of the nation, which is what the communists are so bereft of. Why should anyone trust such people as communists, who have no moral sense whatsoever, and whose basic motivation is to maximize their own power over the people that they rule with an iron fist? What could be more clear that these people have crossed a line, and have become what we used to think of as an enemy--totalitarian communism.

To put it shortly, Washington DC is completely out of control. A small group of people want to rule over a nation, if not the entire world itself. They claim to be democratic, but they are in fact no different than any tyrant that has ever gotten control over a civilization. They do not bring democracy, indeed they are indifferent to it at best, and hostile to it at worst.

Checking in, 11/28/23

I don't know if it is me, or if something is changing out there. There doesn't seem like much in the news that I'd like to comment upon.

Perhaps there is something out there that would inspire, and I'm not finding it. Truth is, I'm not looking for it all that hard. I have noticed this phenomenon for awhile now. Posting is dropping off a bit, and it may be accelerating.

Perhaps I can regear and it get it going again. Meanwhile, I'll just check in to say that I'll be back soon. Probably tomorrow, but stuff is on the agenda, so maybe not that much tomorrow either. I'll try to get something up every day. Even SpaceX seems to be getting quiet.

10/12/23: Update on post written on 5/4/21:

It looks like I had the right ideas, but got stuck on Ubuntu. There's a lot of other things to get up to speed on, too. Putting Ubuntu on a stick is way outdated, by the way.

It's quite embarrassing to relate this. This post shows a lot of .... er, ignorance. A sophisticated person would be amused, I'm sure. Here I am talking about stupidity. Well, stupidity is hard to cure. Ignorance just requires some elbow grease.

I think kids are getting this stuff from the crib these days. If you are an older person, you might not be up to speed on all the details. But, it is hard to know all the angles.

Given the tech tyranny issue, it may be time to give it a try again. It's been more than a month long process in reorganizing my computer situation so that it may be possible to keep my data more secure. Who knows what these tech tyrants are up to? You cannot be too secure.

The new organization will be---er, better organized. Prior organization was haphazard. For now on, all personal data will be in separated locations. It is hoped that this will make it more secure. Perhaps that will not be the case, but it should be in theory. If it ain't plugged in, it ain't gonna be accessible to a hacker.

Ubuntu will take that a step further. The machine itself will be portable. The idea here is to make my OS reside on a usb stick. Online data will only be accesible to Ubuntu while it is plugged in. The data will be compartmentalized. It would be hard, if not impossible, for a hacker to get into stuff. But I wouldn't want to underestimate a knave. There are a lot of them these days.

This made me think of the bigger picture. Computer technology has become so vital that it is indispensible. If this was lost for any reason, I think we'd all be in a lot of trouble.

I've tried Ubuntu before. I've forgotten why I stopped using it. Maybe it was only a curiousity back then, but given the big picture today, I think it may be a necessity now.

Supposedly, there was a GOP "debate" recently, or maybe even last night. The fact that I don't know shows how little I think of it. To even think of it makes me want to spit in disgust.

Sorry to have to say this, but Trump hasn't much credibility either. It really is just a big drama queen show. The real action is with the enemy. You know that they are an enemy because of the aggressive lying.

Trust is not being built, but the opposite. That is the point. Someone with good will could have averted all this, and there isn't any of that present. The con job is that the GOP is actually opposing the Democrats, but they are linked together in a conspiracy against the people and the Constitution, which they swore to uphold. You can see how little they care about this due to their reaction to recent events in Maui and other things. The examples are numerous---Covid comes to mind. Yeah, and they want to push that crap again, too.

This begs for some type of resistance, but as it can be seen from their actions, the powers-that-be intend to have their way with us all. Even if there are dead bodies. But it won't do for people to have guns. They will rig a means by which they can confiscate all guns, and it may happen soon. The idiot lights on the dashboard are lighting up like a Christmas tree. The system is complete dysfunctional mode now.

This country will be unlivable soon, thanks to these maniacs. A lot of big city mayors gathered and apparently joined a movement to ban beef, and perhaps all meat. People will be reduced to eating bugs. The effrontery and brass of this is beyond belief. So confident are they of eventual success that they are showing that they do not give a rat's rear end what the rest of us think about it.

This and everything else should be convincing evidence that the elections mean absolutely nothing. It is a totally rigged drama queen exhibition that will yield the results the enemy seeks. There is no organized opposition to it, and to believe that the GOP is actually opposed to them is nearly masochistic at this point.

If they were really opposed, they would unite. But they hold the clown show instead. I don't normally write anything like this, but I'll write it now--- God help us.

By the way, the original post shows that I thought I had a friendly audience. At this point, I may have to accept that the people are so brainwashed that my idea of a friendly audience may be delusional. I suspect that the only ones monitoring this blog are the enemy! The enemy is power mad, and will stop at nothing...

For those of you who read this blog, and who may be of friendly inclination towards it, let me tell you why I am so fanatic about the TRUTH. It is because of a number of things, of experiences long ago PLUS something that happened that cemented it into place into my psyche.

I cannot tell all of this story because it is so bizarre. But some of it, a very tiny point of it, will suffice.

The tiny point is this aggressive lying that we see today. I have seen it before, and it is this what I'm referring to. If someone wants to subjugate you, as I believe was attempted against me in the past, they'll employ this aggressive lying tactic. This is what is happening on a societal scale this very day. America is being subjugated with relentless and aggressive lying.

So I am opposed to it. In order to survive this relentless and aggressive lying, you must get stronger and tougher. YOU MUST. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION.

I survived it. But I am amazed that the attempts go on to this very day. Whenever I catch someone trying it on me again, my training will hopefully come to the rescue.

YOU MUST TRAIN YOURSELVES TO RESIST THE LYING.

I use all caps because I think it is vitally important for those who are friendly to this blog will understand. That is, if you haven't known this for yourselves all along.

Profit scam

It was never a vaccine after all

People may be finally waking up to the scam pulled with regards to the miscalled covid vaccine. It's on the Bongino show today.

I feel like I was way ahead of the curve on this one. There was NEVER any justification for a mandate, but it was ordered anyway. Not only that, there wasn't even a justification for an emergency use authorization that would have made the mandate possible. That's because if there is an alternative that can work, then there cannot be an emergency authorization.

Nobody seems to want to talk about this, but it is kinda late for some people. You know, when people die, it is kinda permanent. If you jack around with your DNA, like this so-called vaccine does, it is kinda permanent. If it screws you up, it's kinda permanent. Better be sure about what you put into your veins.

I didn't get the vaccine. Based upon what's happening now, I'm very glad I didn't. To tell you the truth, there wasn't the slightest chance I was ever going to put that shit into my veins.

There needs to be accountability for this, but the chances aren't so good that there will be. It may not even make a ripple in the election. It should have made people livid. It amazes me what they let these people get away with.

I've included a re-post of some of what I was saying. It's not like there wasn't anybody warning you people.

Seen on Barnhardt. I'd call it the quote of the day. "You cannot fund vaccines if there's an effective treatment." Otherwise known as a scam. It's worse than that. It's not even a vaccine. So here you are--- funding a vaccine that isn't, when one isn't even necessary because there's an effective treatment.

We have a saying around here. It's called a "profit scam". I don't know the technical definition, but it is definitely like that.

OTC contraception

What is the US waiting for?

The answer to the question above is that this is an election season, and the Democrats want to use abortion as an issue. Consequently, they will not make Over-the-counter contraception available without a prescription.

Do the Democrats have moral objections to it? Not likely. There are moral objections to abortion. That doesn't seem to bother them any.

There are those in the GOP who MIGHT have moral objections to it, but it might not be enough to doom the bill. It takes a solid block of one party versus another to block the bill.

This appears to be a party line vote according to the information in the link. It COULD pass if party politics were not involved. It DOES appear that the Democrats are blocking it. The only reasonable explanation is that the Democrats are using abortion as a campaign issue. Clearly, they believe this helps them politically. Some of them have said so openly.

But it doesn't go with the line that they care about women's issues, now does it?

Pelosi's Orwellian Truth Commission

 

If the Senate approves this gambit by Pelosi, the Orwellian Commission will be tasked with finding truth it is proclaimed. In other words, truth will be the last thing that they'll find.

Instead of a quest for truth, it is a quest for power.

Power could go to the Democrats who will have succeeded in dividing the GOP against itself, if this is approved.

The GOP is making a mistake in playing its power games out in the open. The Never-Trumpers don't want to see Trump again. The Trump-train is itching to roll back into DC stronger than ever.

All this is is an attempt to derail the Trump train for good. It exploits the divisions in the GOP, while the GOP has this fight about who controls it. The Never-Trumpers are not at the center of gravity in the GOP today. It is a desperate gambit for power. Neither Pelosi nor the Never-Trumpers want truth. Both want power at the expense of everyone else.

So it isn't about the truth. Pelosi's stab at patriotism is a ruse for those votes. This was attempted before, and it will be attempted again and again until it is defeated.

But no truth will emerge from the Orwellian gambit. A realignment maybe, but not truth.
