Who's winning, the left, or the so-called right?

Does it matter, if the premises are wrong? Anyway, it's a question worth pondering.

Joel Kotkin: Why the right is eating the left's lunch.

Progressives have abandoned the working class and embraced the oligarchs.

Comment:

The shortest possible comment that I'd offer here is this: The left is dishonest. It always was, and always will be. The premises are wrong because the piece does not focus on that. I would say that it isn't about left versus right, but right versus wrong.

For example, there is no climate crisis. To say that doesn't not deny science. So-called "climate science" isn't a science at all. It is a political movement. To cite AGW as scientific is actually anti-science. There is no scientific merit to AGW at all.

What is science, but the seeking of truth? There's no truth to AGW. If there was, it wouldn't be so easy to debunk. A little thought and observation can determine the falsity of it. Anyone can do it. There is no need for an institution to do one's thinking for you. You don't have to rely upon some alleged authority to tell you what to think. Just think for yourself. Think of it as training your mind, as in the movie "The Paper Chase".

The answers aren't going to come from a political process. That's because the argument in political circles is not about truth, but about gaining an advantage over one's opponents. Consequently, it the so-called right is just seeking an advantage, then it isn't really different than the left. For that is all the left seeks, an advantage.

I don't follow the left v right paradigm. It is a Marxist construct, and the following of it only furthers the Marxist objectives, which are political. It isn't about truth. To defeat Marxism, seek the truth. You can tell the validity of that when the Marxists seek to limit the discussion with their censorship drives. Marxism is about lies. If the so-called right is to win anything at all, it must defend the truth. Consequently, it is about right versus wrong, with the truth always being on the side that is right.
