What a joke

 

It looks like everything really is turning to garbage. I have an uglier word, but I am trying to restrain myself from using a four letter word starting with "s" and ending with "t".

You cannot find a straight answer to a simple question, such as "How many people died in the USA in 2020?" I tried that and failed to get a satisfactory answer. Everything is now reduced to propaganda.

The information reported here on that question showed little change from year-to-year, but it is being reported hysterically that new records for mortality were set last year. I have to call "Barbra Streisand" on that one. The reportage in this country just isn't reliable. But that now includes search engine results. No straight answers.

It goes with Jen Psaki's failure to answer a simple question, which I wrote about yesterday. We cannot get answers anymore from the government nor from private sector, if one remains.

The truth is being suppressed. My question is this: "Was there more deaths in the USA last year or not?" I am beginning to think that there really wasn't, but the news is being reported otherwise. It's a joke.

Neither confirm nor deny

Therefore, it must be true. With respect to the assertion that the current regime is releasing COVID-positive illegals into the country, Press Secretary Jen Psaki could neither confirm nor deny.

Now the question should be asked---is this good governance? If you support strong measures to fight this COVID illness that is described as a pandemic, would it not make sense to REFUSE to release them into the country?

This thing is what Bongino described---"kicking the Coke machine". The left is doing nothing constructive, but counter-productive instead in order to oppose Trump. It is so stupid that has got to be hurting their brand. You have to be really dumb not to connect these dots. Or blind.

It is bad governance in the extreme. If you believe COVID is this dangerous, how can you possibly do this, except to spite the former President?

Hard realities

 

First thing this morning, the computer says it needs to update. So I got on it right away, and let it do its thing. But it wouldn't take. This got me to thinking about something in connection with everything else that has been happening.

Nothing works right anymore. If the big Tech companies are now nothing more than the government, then what reason do they have to make quality products anymore? They are "too big to fail", so the government is always there to bail them out of their more frequent mishaps. Could this just be another symptom of the times?

If it is, then the probablity is that computers won't work right in the future. Chilling thought, as I sometimes forget how dependent I am on this thing. If it becomes unreliable then what?

It seems like we all live in a bubble of one kind or another until it bursts. This could be another bubble about to burst, you guys. It may be necessary to learn how to live the old ways again, if that is possible.

Er, what old ways? You actually a pencil and paper if you want to figure things? You mean using a landline telephone, assuming that you can get one? Or no telephones at all! That's right. If nothing works, it may mean horse and buggy too!

Our "brave new world" is dawning. I am not ready for this crap even though I thought I was getting ready for it, I am in a bubble like everybody else.

Update:

Looks like the problem might have been a false alarm. Still, it gave a message that there was an error, and I could have kept going on and on before the thing finally showed success. Whatever reason it gave for an error should not have happened. It cost me valuable data, which is in limited supply.

With that in mind, I spent time on the web researching the options going forward. This machine I use is nearly five years old anyway. May be time to look for a new computer.

One option may be to build my own. If I did that, I may want to go with a linux machine. I experimented with Ubuntu several years back. It cannot be duplicated with what I have now, however.

There is also the possibility of building a server. Or buy one or the other or both. However, all that costs money, and that is also in short supply. Stimulus funds or not.

Update:

This was ordered during the cold snap, or perhaps a bit before that time.  It took a good, long while for it to get here.  I have it, and I used it.

Before anyone goes off thinking I've lost it, let's say I decided to seek another opinion than to accept the alleged wisdom of our "betters".  Instead of a vaccine, I am now protected by this stuff.

What was it like?  It wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't all that bad either.  I took very small portions, one at a time until the dosage was complete.  Basically it is straightforward as to dose.  Follow directions, but ignore the "horses only" print.  I am going by an eminent doctor's advice in using the stuff.

If you decide to use this stuff yourself, be sure to drink water with it.  You'll get through it, if you take your time.  

As with everything, do your own due diligence before doing anything.

This is supposed to be a good preventive for covid, but understand that it is not approved by the government.  It isn't disapproved either.

Yours truly has ordered some.  This is written in order to bring this potential option to your attention.  I think that it should be safe, and perhaps if the doctor testifying in Congress is right, a wonder drug.
