A oldtimer friend, now passed away, said he knew Janis Joplin. How he knew her, I won't say, because it is a bit scandalous. Anyway, he didn't know she was famous, he said. She told him that she was famous, and he probably didn't believe. Only later, when he saw her on TeeVee, did he realize that she really was famous.
Anyway, that was the story.
She really put her heart and soul into her singing. You can tell. She held nothing back.
