The video doesn't say exactly what the fatal flaw is. Maybe because there are plenty of flaws in that sphere. The one that hasn't gotten the play that the other have is featured, so maybe that's what it is. It is the planet wide dust storms that frequent the place every five years or so.
Such a problem will make solar power useless for weeks at a time. In that case, Mars will need nuclear power. But you don't hear about that much, if at all.
