Bill Maher: "Game over" for Dems

6:36 PM:

The discussion goes into the areas that leave me exasperated. For instance, the Ezra Klein fellow said that the GOP is autocratic. Well, I don't know about the GOP, but as far as I'm concerned, the autocrats are the Democrats. But they claim that the GOP is autocratic. I don't vote for autocrats. They're not autocrats, the GOP'ers. Most of the time, they're just Democrat wannabes.

If there's any reason the Dems lose, it is because they are in some sort of alternate universe, which is where nobody else is. I'm not sure that they actually get many legitimate votes. Those who vote for them are as deluded as they are, or they are being arm-twisted in some way into voting for them. Democrat jurisdictions are like totalitarian regimes that vote in large blocks for the those in power, because if they don't, they know that they'll be punished. The punishment is doled out from amongst their own, not the opposition. The GOP is qualitatively different from the Democrats. Calling them autocrats is just more of their absurdity. Their absurdity is why they lose.

7:15 PM:

This is another case where you might ask if liberals are evil or stupid, because what they say is false. If they are knowingly peddling falsehoods, then that's evil. But if they really don't know any better, then they're just stupid. Either way is bad.
