Some folks may think that this blog has changed. But it hasn't. For example, I mentioned the Starship flight test a lot last week. But I've been writing about space the whole time.
This country is in decline. Almost everybody can see it. There's a reason for it. The Starship and the molten salt reactor things are a symptom. This country cannot do big things anymore, or is getting very close to that. Again, there is a reason for it. A basic disregard for truth has infected this country like a plague.
The left wing is incredibly destructive. But there's no real opposition to it. Unless the so-called "conservative" faction of the GOP gets a clue, and starts doing things differently, there's not going to be any GOP going forward. The reason is that the left is going to seize power, and there won't be any opposition allowed. The answer is definitely not to cave in to the left all the time. But that is what the GOP does.
The modern GOP would rather fight its base than to fight the Democrats. This fact has been known for the longest time, but nothing seems to change. The same kind of things that has plagued the GOP in prior years continues to plague it. There is no real opposition to Democrats, and what little there is of it is insincere at best.
In my opinion, the only reason for DeSantis is to keep the base on the reservation. If he's elected, it will be business as usual. They hate Trump because he tells it like it is. It's probably a lot deeper than that.
But there is no "golden calf" being offered here on behalf of Trump. There needs to be a return to basic values, and even Trump doesn't offer that. I'm not buying the schtick that DeSantis offers because the ones sponsoring are the same ones who cave in to the left all the time. Somebody needs to start talking the right way. Not right versus left, but right versus wrong. The left is all wrong, and willfully so. There can be no more ground given up to them.
Trump is the best we have. The GOP would be wise to unite around him. But the ones dividing the GOP are the well-heeled types who might as well be Democrats. It seems the only purpose that these people have is to divide the country against itself because that is what will prevent a true reckoning on the damage being done.
There is no change here. The same things have been true all along. My opinions are the same. There won't be any change of course HERE. It's true now more than ever. There's no MODERATION here any more than there is a MODERATE amount of truth. It's true or it isn't. The moral relativism of the left is what fools people into thinking the way they want you to think. To tell the truth is not "extreme". It is the truth. Nothing less than that should be acceptable.
