Constructive attitudes in short supply

No names will be mentioned. However, I note that there are plenty of commentators out there who don't seem to be the least bit interested in being constructive about anything.

It seems that almost everybody agrees that things are on the wrong track, but nobody seems interested in keeping the train from going over the cliff. There seems to be a few who want the train to go over the track. Maybe more than a few. Or those who take a fatalist view of events. This is not what I mean, nor believe.

One reason for the doubt about doing much more of this comes from that fact. There is no other way that I can conceive of to have much of an effect here. Hence, the feeling that it is all for nothing.

This blog HAS been an attempt at being constructive. Could it be that the spirit of the times is such that such an effort is likely to fall on deaf ears?

If you really want the train to go over the track, just be aware that the trip may not turn out the way that you figured it would. There are people who think that they can make the trip without a scratch. It's a helluva bet to make. It's going to be one helluva crash.
