So many bad things these days. But there are a few good things. It is good to see something like this being done. How much longer will the technological improvements last? Society is being run by a bunch of retards.

So why focus so much on Starship? Because that is how material progress used to occur in this country. If we leave it up to the socialists, things like this will never happen. That's because it doesn't happen automatically. Somebody has to think it up, and if the government is always blocking the way, these things will never get built.

Throwing a lot of money doesn't necessarily bring results either. It has taken many more years to develop the SLS even though the technology is over 50 years old. More time was spent and a lot more money. But Starship is more advanced than the SLS, which uses Shuttle technology that was meant to be reusable, but failed.

It can happen because of freedom. That freedom is being destroyed systematically. These people, if they had their way, would destroy SpaceX. They would do it because of no other reason than the fact that he took over one of their pet projects on the basis of FREE SPEECH. What a crime! /sarc

I watch Spacex to see if he can realize his dream. All the while, there are people who would spitefully stop him for no other reason than a difference in opinion.

There is much talk of the division in the country. Whose fault is it? Actually, the thought should be who cares? It doesn't hurt anything to disagree. In the end, you might learn something useful during the struggle. Nobody can right all the time.

This article will get linked not for its title and presumed content, but for the term I see there all the time. It is called the "Great Pretending".

In this article, it is brought up in connection with parsing of language. Durable goods aren't selling, so the spin is in the use of the word "destocking".

Whatever language is being used, the basic idea is that the truth is not being told. Whether it is the Great Pretending or the BIG LIE, it is one and the same.

We are told that it is a great economy, but keep in mind all of the spending and the huge deficits.

The numbers seem to indicate that the government spending side of the economy is where the jobs are coming from. It is almost like the government is replacing the private sector. The economy is being socialized.

Figures don't lie, but liars figure. The government can spend vast sums of money and make the economy look better than what it really is. The government can do this because of its unlimited borrowing and money creation tools. But what happens when the dollar collapses?

This is all happening rather slowly, so it may not happen before the next election. But if it does happen, what will be the response from the public?

The Great Pretending or the BIG LIE can be spun for only so long. However, it needs to work only as long as the next election. Then it can continue after the regime is safely in power for awhile longer. If this goes on long enough, the powers-that-be will make themselves a permanent ruling class, and there won't be any way to vote the bums out. That's where it is all headed.

If the ruling class cannot win through propaganda, then they'll turn to cheating. If cheating and propaganda doesn't work, then they'll outlaw all opposition. There is no Democracy without free and fair elections. Seems odd that they want to throw people in jail for questioning election results, that is, if the ruling class was truthful to begin with. Since it isn't, it makes perfect sense that it is all a part of the BIG LIE. The BIG LIE is that the public wants this. The BIG LIE is that it is all inevitable.

It's amazing how many people seem to be falling for it, but how many are really falling for it? We can't ever know, or be allowed to know. Where is the opposition? You won't ever hear from them because they won't be heard. That's how a totalitarian system works. The truth gets smothered, and the BIG LIE rules.

Call me cynical, but the reason it won't work is that it WILL work. Now, THAT'S cynical.

If this claim pans out, I'd say its most likely application would be quantum computers. Maybe the first human level intelligence could be around the corner. Not sure that this is good news or not...

Not exactly a good look , but does anybody at the GOP care?

So McConnell and McCarthy don't want to pursue impeachment. This is just plain thuggish behavior.

This is not rule of law. It is rule of the most powerful gang. If the GOP is going to allow themselves to be treated like this, it should respond appropriately. They are going to made to look irrelevant if they don't. They will look that way because they will actually be irrelevant.
