Satan cannot cast himself out

 When Biden accuses Trump of being like Goebbels, he is like Satan casting himself out.

If this is hard to grasp, it is in the New Testament.  There were those who accused Jesus of casting out Devils with devil power.  Jesus answered that Satan cannot cast himself out because then his kingdom cannot stand.  A house divided, you see.

Biden has been exposed as a liar many times over.  He has no standing to call anybody else a liar.  If you do not honor the truth, then how can you dishonor someone else even if he IS lying?

Just so nobody misunderstands, I don't think Trump is like Goebbels.  People can twist what you say, you know.

Covid-19 "pandemic" was a hoax

 What will it take to convince people that this is and always was a hoax?

Not the virus itself.  I got accused of that when I tried to argue this point.  Why is it so hard to grasp?  It is not the same as saying that the virus itself was a hoax.  It is the scare-mongering that has gone with it that is the hoax.  It never was the crisis that it was hyped into being.  The virus itself is not "novel", there have been many "coronaviruses".  So what if there is no vaccine.  There isn't one for the common cold either.  We don't shut down the country because somebody might get a cold.

So here is something else that goes into the list for those who care anything at about the truth.

What does this mean exactly?  It means that anyone with abnormally high cholestorol is more vulnerable to the virus.  Statins are used to lower cholestorol numbers in such folks.  Now we hear that statins can help treat the virus.  The virus uses cholestorol to infect.

Add this to the list of things that help that you should be doing anyway.  Such as getting enough Vitamin D, and getting enough Zinc.  Yep, if you just follow good hygiene and take care of your health in general, you should be alright.  Those who don't may get sick.  You know, those people that were already on the ropes anyway.  More than likely, it is those kinds of people that abuse their health that will be vulnerable to this virus.

Masks don't work.  But something like this and the malaria treatment that is so cheap WILL work.  That is why the politicians push these things that don't work and push AGAINST the things that DO work.  It is because they DON'T CARE about your health.  They just want to use this as a campaign issue.

It is and always was a political gambit and a hoax.  It has worked for them so far.  Too many people have fallen for this hoax.

Mike Flynn case drags on

 On Lou Dobbs, Mike Flynn's attorney, Sidney Powell said that it will go immediately to the Supreme Court if Sullivan doesn't dismiss "with prejudice".  

Flynn may never get justice if Biden wins.

Off-grid post, 9.24.20

 

Not really an off-grid post, but once again, it is related. This time, it is time to change batteries. The battery I bought five years ago for my off-grid project has finally given up the ghost. Another one is on the way.

While checking the battery, I checked the controller, wiring, and connections. Everything else seems ship shape. Now for the battery to come and it's back to business.

This time I got a smaller battery. Why? I mean, this old one wasn't very big either.

The answer is that no loads are being placed on that battery. The old battery had a real easy time of it. When I first bought it, I knew little about batteries. Now I don't claim to know a lot, but it is more than nothing. Anyway, I tried running a microwave on that little thing while I was out there in the desert. It wasn't nearly enough of a battery to handle a load like that.

Live and learn. Sometimes you find things out the hard way. Capacity is not the only thing.

Battery power isn't cheap. If you try to go solar, then go SMALL. Small ball is all I can afford these days. Even when I had more money, I would be hesitant to add the amount of battery power to live the livestyle of a city feller out in the desert.

For example, the a price quoted on a replacement was well over a hundred bucks. That's plenty of money for something that doesn't do a whole lot. Not even microwave popcorn.

Batteries are rated on what they can do over a period of time. The one I've seen the most of is the 20 hour rate. Even for a 100 Amp-hr battery, 5 amps per hour is not much power.

An a/c can use 1500 watts for a small window unit. For 12 volts, that's 120 amps. Multiply by 20 and you'll need 2400 amp-hrs. Yikes. That's only for the batteries. You need a lot of solar panels to keep them charged. Also, if there's no sun, there's no power.

I'm not keen on solar power. But you gotta do what you gotta do on the desert.

Off-grid post, 9.23.20

The plumbing is essentially done. The next part is to make a filtration system, as the rain water has too much gunk in it.

Perhaps it is well to remember the "KISS" rule. That means to keep it simple, stupid.

Once you start spending money on these things, it can get costly. The idea was to spend almost nothing, if not nothing at all. The idea is to use what materials are available on hand. Not to go around buying stuff.

It looks like a filter will cost some money. It just so happens that the collectors, which are plastic, are starting to fall apart. The sun will do that to plastic.

Something very, very basic can be had to 10 bucks or less. But would it be good enough?

The most basic thing is to store the water in a way that insects cannot get to it. That means a lid. Water could be transferred to the thing and it would sit for a day or two covered up. The dirt and grit will fall to the bottom, and the best water can be skimmed off the top.

It gets more complicated after that, if this isn't good enough.

Off-grid post, 9.21.20

 

This isn't so much about the off-grid project, but it is sort of related. Related in the sense of making do with what I've got.

Recently, I made some plumbing and electrical connections for my washer. It is now more useful than it once was. But I am not satisfied.

The rain water collection effort was stopped awhile back because it is too bothersome to bring the water inside. The idea occurred to me to use this pump to bring it in. For that to happen, a bit more work is required. I made a hole in the floor previously so as to do the climate control experiment. So all the elements to do this project are there. The access to outside, plus some plumbing already in existence, plus this pump. The pump is portable, so I can take it outside, and pump out the containers full of rainwater.

The water can be pumped inside straight to the washer. Then I can figure out what to do next. I think I'd rather have it cleaner, so I think the thing to do is to filter it and return it to the washer. This will take some figuring.

Anyway, I tested the concept today and it was a success. Not the pumping inside. I have to do some preparations before I can do that. I just pumped the water out of the containers on to the ground.

The climate setup had the hose mostly outside. It has to be mostly inside now. This requires that it be pulled out and the plumbing reworked.

That shouldn't be that big of a deal.

The water filtration needs some figuring. As for the water being in the washer, I can drain it out like used wash water. But I will collect the water to be filtered, and somehow get it back to the washer. This will require some thinking, as mentioned.

It's really not an off-grid post, but the setup can be used out there.
