If they did, they would find it hard to oppose Trump. But since they don't support Trump, then why not?
Trump's critics hate America, so when Trump does something good for America, they really hate it. The Venezuela deal is really good for America. It secures a source of the kind of oil that America processes (think refineries), but doesn't produce much of---heavy sour crude.
Probably is a lot easier to get a lot of sour crude, than to produce new refineries that can process light "sweet" crude. Maybe you don't get that here, but what we DO get is more in the line of the sweet than the sour. Therefore, America can produce the oil, buts its refineries cannot process it.
That can change with Venezuela's sour crude.
