Texans should sit up and take notice of this

5/7/25, 7 AM:

If you don't understand this post, you aren't paying attention. Or you are in denial. Boasberg is as rogue as they come. But a faction of Senators are going to allow him to appoint the US Attorney to the DC Circuit. This is like setting up a shadow government. A government within a government.

You may not like Trump, but even the left wingers agree that he was elected. Boasberg has not been elected, and is not accountable to anyone...

10:24 AM:

This one snuck up on me. It so happens that Tillis is on the committee, and without his vote, the nomination cannot get out of the committee. That one got by me. Therefore, because of this one guy, we get this result. Cornyn escapes blame, but I don't like him anyway.

The blame should go to the Majority Leader, if that is his responsibility to put a guy like this on an important committee as this one.

Unbelieveable to me that the GOP can run Congress and the Presidency, but it won't matter anyway. The Dems might as well be in charge if you can get a result like this. Somebody is going to have to pay for this hanging, you might say.

The Red State article is much too generous to Rove, in my opinion. This latest move has no real political backing, as Trump increased margins in Texas in 2024. The establishmentarians have no claims, except for the usual phony liberal propaganda. If anything, they are trying to subvert Trump's real victory that occurred just months ago. If Cornyn and Cruz want to make an issue of Trump's leadership, and really want to hurt him, here's their big opportunity. Or is it? I'll definitely remember this double cross. You can count on it.
