Indeed, what IS a war?
Is this part of the coup de etat that I have been worried about? Perhaps the fire is one of those unconventional ways of war-fighting that isn't being recognized for what it is.
It could bring it into focus, and suggest a response to it.
At least one would hope so. The point of the essay is to ask questions which are not being asked. The behavior here is not NORMAL.
Why did the government lie about woman's death?
What the Congressman says about the autopsy confirms what I suspected--that she died from being crushed to death during the stampede of people that were pepper sprayed in a confined location. A crush of people stampeded over her after she was struck by a pepper spray ball and fell to the ground.
There was no room for anybody to stop and render aid where she fell. The rush of people prevented that.
This appears to me to be a case of police misconduct; even before considering how she was beaten with a stick while lying motionless on the ground. It wasn't so much as her being beaten, but the maniacal way in which the beating took place. The cop was out of control.

Now finally, here's the comment:
I've read the book, which was a long time ago. The solution suggested was Ayn Rand's Objectivism. I've read several books on Ayn Rand's philosophy, which I would recommend. The thing is, you don't have to believe in Ayn Rand's philosophy here. But she does lay down a good bedrock of how one should approach this subject.
It reminds me of what Ronald Reagan once said in one of his State of the Union speeches. He said three words make the USA's government different from all other governments, and those words are in the Preamble of the United States Constitution--- "WE THE PEOPLE".
The Constitution is a philosophy of government. How do you approach governing a people? Where does the power originate? From the people! That's the philosophy of government inherent in the US Constitution. The modern day gubmint seeks to overthrow that, and replace it with what the rest of the world does --- which is the other way around. In the rest of the word, the government tells the people what to do. However, the Constitution does the opposite.
Therefore, I think the solution is to re-affirm that the philosophy of our government is to keep the Constitutional philosophy that WE THE PEOPLE are in charge of our government, and not the other way around--which was Ronald Reagan's point in that 1987 State of the Union address. In my opinion, it is under that philosophy that we can keep our Republic and our freedom.

It seems that, once upon a time, I wrote, "Ideology can make you stupid". If the voters in LaLa land voted for Karen Bass for ideological reasons, then I consider the point proven.

Oops! It may strike someone odd that I somehow endorse everything that Bari Weiss says. Here is something attributed to her to which I do NOT agree with. The logic does not work. If LA was meant to burn, then with that logic, the only place people should live is in the jungle. That's because we don't carry around our bodies a coat of fur. We are naked. We need shelter and clothes. If we go by this logic ( in the tweet below), we should not live anywhere to which we are not biologically suited. In that case, you could shut us out of just about anywhere other than the tropics.

It's all a matter of whether or not he will be permitted to operate his company with such an approach. If you can accept RUDS, then he can proceed. If not, then he won't be permitted to proceed. Preliminary indication is that we had an oxygen/fuel leak in the cavity above the ship engine firewall that was large enough to build pressure in excess of the vent capacity.
