Was Gaetz guilty of anything at all? We'll never know because he ducked out of the fight.
Do I blame Gaetz, or do I blame the swamp?
Has Trump made a tactical retreat?
Some of his recent picks are a bit squishy.
Or is it realism? The fact of the matter is that he cannot do exactly as he pleases. Also, we have more than enough squishes in Congress already. We have checks and balances, and right now, the squishes can block anything meaningful.
There was talk of a recess appointment, but that seems to be incorrect. I haven't looked it up myself. It could be open to interpretation. After a pause, I looked it up. The President can adjourn Congress if the two Houses disagree about adjournment, and it is longer than 3 days. It looks like it could be used to give the President too much power, if such was intended. The denial of adjournment of the Senate can also keep the President's agenda from being enacted, in terms of getting his appointments through. In other words, you'd need a strong majority in Congress; and if he had that in the first place, there'd be no problem with his appointments.

Her faction ruled the White House, which housed the nearly incapacitated Joe Biden, who pretended to be "sharp as a tack". Biden was supposed to be "middle of the road". Yep, you know what happens to those in the middle of the road, right? It even happens when you pretend to be middle of the road, and aren't.
Could it be that their faction took a big hit in this recent election, and the public now knows it beyond all reasonable doubt?
It is hard to tell if these people are just crazy or what. You can't fix crazy or stupid. Therefore, you cannot allow them into positions of trust and power.
