Monkey business

 

There's a first time for everything, and this must be the first time that I've linked to an Ace of Spades post by this guy, who puts up this pic of a monkey-- and calls it his morning rant.

The word "rant" had to be looked up by yours truly, because I wasn't entirely clear of its meaning. The quality of a rant is its emotion, which I don't trust emotions. However, this post reads as reasonable discourse. Fancy that! Either my standards are dropping, or he is being too modest.

He says the Democrats are being clownish when they claim no riots, but that Trump made it worse. Huh? I've always attributed this to the Democrats' tendency of being dishonest to the extreme. In either case, it seems reasonable enough to me that nothing the Democrats say can be justified, yet how do they manage to win any elections at all?

Now that is something to rant about.

The post is about the potential for a split between China and Russia. This is believable to me, since the former Soviet Union and Red China had a real problem with each other. In fact, the main opening to China during the Nixon Administration, resulted from this fact.

 

The Ukrainian proxy war was always a very bad idea. I'd even go as far as labeling it as criminally insane, or at best, execessively invested in bygone ideology.
