Necessity is the word

Anyone have "cobwebs" in their thinking?

A recent post about an atheist "progressive" seemed to be saying, it is okay to do unethical things in response to Trump. It reminded me of the interview of Al Capone, who responded that it was "necessary" for him to do the anti-social things he did. Nixon could have said the same during Watergate, but not even Nixon did that.

It was Harris' own words, and it was Al Capone's own words, that convict them of a crime. Capone was brought to justice, but this is much more difficult because it is wrapped up in politics. One thing that we know for sure, and the vast majority agree, that the suppression of Hunter Biden's laptop would have changed the outcome of the election. Not to mention that there WERE irregularities in the election. There were usurpations of the Constitution, which allowed electoral votes to be granted to Biden. It's all water under the bridge now, but the Supreme Court dropped the ball. It must not happen again.

The cobweb is about necessity. Why was it "necessary" to suppress the truth about Hunter Biden? Also, why is it "necessary" to falsely accuse patriots of insurrection for doing nothing but protest the way the entire controversy was handled? Supposedly, those who claim that they are defending "democracy" and the "rule of law" are not doing that. Certainly, the "mother of invention" could have been applied to the situation, as opposed to the "father of crime." This must not be confirmed as the new way.

There is still a chance to rectify this, but we'd better get it right. That chance is at the ballot box. There is a possibility, though, that the same forces that claimed necessity required them to forego election integrity will force them to do it again.

The "necessity" that they claim is to prevent authoritarianism, they say. It is to stop "semi-fascists" says Biden. If you can demonize your opponents this much, you can rationalize anything. But there is no necessity but to get at the truth of the situation. Is the process an honest one, or is it corrupt? If it is corrupt, what can we do about it? The current group of people in charge won't even look.  But they will order a panty raid on a political opponent who has beaten them before.

Invoking Marxist ideology to rile up the Democrat base does not inspire confidence. Somehow, the public is going to have sort this out and deliver the correct outcome in November. Unless this happens, the transgressions will get worse.

In the book linked to below, the co-author, Napoleon Hill recounts his interview with the vicious gangster--- Al Capone. Something in that interview I'd like to discuss, which I believe could be useful in understanding what's happening in the world today.

Hill asked Capone why he lived the gangster's life, and Capone replied that he "had to". Capone was explaining away all the anti-social things he did because of necessity. Hill went on to comment that necessity is "the mother of invention, and the father of crime". Nothing can force you to be dishonest. There is no force on Earth that can make you be dishonest. It is your choice. You can die or suffer terribly rather than be dishonest, if that is your moral code.

Like Capone, many people who choose such a path, will explain it all away by claiming that as a reason. Actually, if you look into history, you can find that the Communists in the former Soviet Union, said exactly the same thing. For this reason, President Reagan called them the "Evil Empire". For they will justify evil on the basis of this, which they excuse or rationalize away as "necessity".

The same will always be true for those who take the same path. The tree is definitely judged by its fruit. The fruit of communism has always been misery. There is no rationalizing that away. The book being referred to is immediately below:

Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude
