"I Fail To See What This Has Bought Us": Antoni Questions Why Congress Continually Ramps Up Spending

Daily Update:

No such thing as "renewables" when it comes to energy.

Saw the above on the Instapundit site, and I wondered whether any of this is actually accomplishing anything at all. That's because the same results follow. What good is it, then? You can try to get people to understand something, but it like talking to a wall. The words just don't make it through to their brains, and the results keep coming in the same.

So I looked at this word "renewable" when it comes to energy. Why is this language accepted? Why not examine the language being used, and take it apart? Instead, it all get internalized as being valid and useful in our conversations. But the word is useless, because it is meaningless. There is no such thing as renewable energy. All energy dissapates into the greater and greater entropy over time. That's why there is no such thing as AGW. But people accept the language, and thus accept the premises. The trouble with that is that the premises are false. Which ones are false? Damned near all of them as far as I can tell!

So the House Speaker, who is supposed to a "conservative" just got something passed that shouldn't have seen the light of day. These things happen for a reason, and maybe the reason is that nobody bothers to think about what the hell they are trying to do. Why post something like that link does above if you are opposed to what it is all about? It's boggles the mind that people keep doing this. Talking against it is like talking to a wall.

end update:

The GOP has sold out again. US House passes another continuing resolution that funds liberal priorities. All of this has occurred under a "conservative" Speaker. The spending is unsustainable. But nothing gets done, even under a GOP led House. Even after a Speaker is replaced, they keep doing the same things. What will it take to turn this around?
