Re-reading that article just now... These people aren't looking at it in the right way. By the way, the government isn't doing that either. If they were, they wouldn't be standing in the way of Elon Musk the way that they are. It is STUPID to hold back this technology. It is absolutely a mind-boggling opportunity. ( NO, I AM NOT DRUNK.)

Asteroid mining

Not sure where I found the above link. It seems to say a lot of things I've seen before, like the book "Mining The Sky". There are enough resources in the asteroid belt to accomodate a trillion people, if memory serves.
Such could bring a little perspective on this "Limits to Growth" mindset we've been in for the last 50 or so years. A solution to the energy problem could do even more. That solution already exists in the form of molten-salt reactor technology. Such could be commercialized within the next five years.
Such a post like this is a change of pace from the dreary political stuff we've been subject to.
