Before anybody gets the wrong impression from the title, allow me to explain.
The current organizing principle is Judeo-Christian. If you adhere to that ethic, you don't bring false charges against another person. It is in the Ten Commandments. "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor."
What I'm getting at here is that the Democrats have rejected the Judeo-Christian morality. They know what they are doing. They aren't insane, nor stupid. They are communists.
The communists believe that religion is the "opiate of the masses". Every communist regime has tried to overthrow the Judeo-Christian ethic because they consider it an axiom of their system. If they allow it, it is only because they find it useful at the time. Eventually, they attempt to stamp it out.
To make false charges against the POTUS is right in line with their thinking. If that is what it takes to defeat him, that is what they'll do. If it doesn't work, they'll be sorry. But not because they have changed their ways. They'll only be sorry that it didn't work.
They know what they are doing. It is we who do not know what we are doing. That is why we are in trouble.
I decided to share the following link because of this very problem among the so-called conservatives. So-called conservatives are just a little less committed than the Democrats is all. For all intents and purposes, they have swallowed communism hook, line, and sinker.
